@ ray martin posts i am sure alot of things happened in his life probably all true, my point is that as he had no contact with his father from 11 years of age, and then at a later date refused to have anthing to do with him, i just wonder why he has plenty of sorrow for what happens in the world around him but no feelings for his father, sorry for offending all diehard fans of martin enjoy the book and make sure his best friend/ good bloke/often interviewed micheal crawford gets a signed copy

It’s an unfortunate pity, but also a joke as well, Nine can’t accomodate a class act (as a journalist) like Martin in some way, now that they’ve gone in the
dumbed down news and journalism format, as Seven have.

@Frankie So he can’t talk about something that had such a major inpact on his life? We don’t know if he came to forgive his father or not, but it’s his story to tell. As the old journalistic saying goes, “all we owe the dead is the truth”.

Frankie given we only know a few facts it might be worth bearing it in mind. I suspect the book would have better context.

gee mr. martin is there a need to bring this up about your father, 25 years dead cannot defend himself all the name of your life story, shame on you and your 11 year old mentality, to up yourself to forgive your father , ray martin your a joke

FYI Ray is appearing at Werribee Plaza on 02/12/09 – I”m trying desperately to host the book signing (Done a couple in my time, Max Walker in Ballarat and Vasili in Northland )

This is also the launch date of the book.
