Nine’s Today team are once again hitting Melbourne for their annual Melbourne Cup Carnival visit.
The show will broadcast live from Bourke Street Mall this Thursday and Friday with Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson, Cameron Williams, Georgie Gardner (pictured), Richard Wilkins, Steve Jacobs and Richard Reid.
On Thursday Emma Freedman will talk about Spring racing looks with a fashion parade showcasing the latest racewear. Vanessa Amorosi will perform This Is Who I Am.
On Friday, viewers are invited to dress up for the Best Dressed Racewear Competition. Megan Gale will be special guest judge giving away a $1000 David Jones shopping spree and two tickets to the exclusive Lexus marquee on Crown Oaks Day.

Just saw on the sunrise site that they are boradcasting from fed square with Beretts at the track and Ronan Keating is performing two songs.
It’s strange how this year they are not actually staying in Melbourne for the cup next Tuesday. Although a live broadcast is always good.
Sunrise braodcast from the track because 7 are the broadcasters they get better access to people and can show more,
sunrise will do the same thing. but they cross promote every show on the network
Last year they were in Melbourne on Cup Day too.

This is good news, Melbournians love the Today show.
Well I don’t track personal info, but given the race is usually the domain of Seven, Today tends to hit Melbourne before Sunrise.
Are they staying in Melbourne until Tuesday for the actual race?
