Aussie hunk wins One Tree Hill role

By David Knox on November 11, 2009 / Filed Under News 5

mitchrA little known actor is the latest Australian actor to land himself a role on an American TV series.

Mitch Ryan, who had a guest role in City Homicide in 2007 has won a recurring role on One Tree Hill, on the CW Network.

He will play Alexander, a handsome ‘pro surfer-turned-young mogul’ (and hopefully an Aussie one?).

Ryan also has a role in HBO’s miniseries The Pacific, to screen on Seven in 2010.

The Brissy-based actor began studying acting at the age of 13, and has been picking up parts since finishing school in 2004.

One Tree Hill currently airs on TEN on Saturday arvos.

Actually the season 6 DVD won’t be out until it’s aired on TEN which I find stupid. But they do seem to be pretty regular with it at 3pm Saturdays. Except for every now and then when it doesn’t air because of racing or something.

I noticed OTH is now on SC10 in the TV Guide but I missed watching it last week, mind you given TENs treatment of the series I’ve almost given up on the show. Might be easies to just rent or buy the DVDs
