Delays on Humphrey’s future

Administrators were tight lipped on why there have been delays on winding up the intellectual property rights for Humphrey B. Bear.

humphrey4Humphrey B. Bear is still silent on his future. Which is hardly so very surprising….

Or at least his adminstrators are.

It’s been months since the cleaners came in to wind up Banksia Productions in Adelaide, and there are more than 80 interested parties who are keen to give the famous bear a new home.

But Administrator Maris Rudaks said Banksia Productions was not the only party claiming intellectual property rights, according to News Limited.

He refused to identify others.

Some agreements may not be in writing or cannot be found.

That’s leaving some prospective new owners frustrated.

Tony McGuinness from McGuinness McDermott Foundation, said “You’ve got an SA icon who’s lying down flat in a wardrobe who we’re willing to put to work tomorrow to create great outcomes for SA sick kids, but we can’t get to first base.”

They oughta send in The Apprentice contestants to wind this thing up. Here’s the job, fix it or you’re fired.

  1. Have Nine booked Humphrey for his annual appearance at “Carols By Candlelight” at Melbourne’s Sydney Myer Music Bowl on Christmas Eve?

I sincerely hope they have as his appearances over the last 30 years have often been among the highlights for the kids in the audience and at home (and I hope they also have a tribute to probably the best CBC host, Brian Naylor, who was killed in the Black Saturday fires)

  2. It’s just Banksia for you! They want to make us feel un bear able and then bear all when we have to hear the horrible news of his departure to the into the forest, where he will have to live forever!

  3. Real Shame to See Humphrey Go.

What will they replace the lovable bear with? Most of us grew up watching him or have some sort of favourable memories of the Bear.
