Ellen says Opie has “blazed a trail,” and that the two are now bestest buddies.

Of course E recently appeared on O’s own show after her campaign to be on the O mag cover.

Ratings-wise Ellen is no queen.
Ellen was one of the few non housewives talk shows out there(That is if one doesn’t count things like Letterman or Rove)

@jaon Exactly what part of Ellen is intelligent? The ridiculous games or dancing in the ailses or monsters jumping from behind couches to scare guests? Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the show but “intelligent” isn’t a word I’d use to describe it.
Ellen as a talk show (and also as an unfunny comedian), is a joke compared to what Oprah does. A person like Michelle Obama (not now, but in 8 years time), is probably the best female in the US, to take over from Oprah, if she was interested.
Oprah needs to “pass the torch” to Ellen. Love Oprah though, and she is not leaving as she is opening up her own channel. She no longer has a show…she has a whole channel to do with what she wants and some of what she wants will feature herself.
Now Ellen can be the talk show queen like she deserves.
When can we get some Ellen on late night or Go primetime instead of all this unwatchable dumb rubbish? Are Australians that stupid that they can’t handle an intelligent show like Ellen?
