Family Guy meets The Empire Strikes Back

By David Knox on November 12, 2009 / Filed Under News 11

family-guy-6It wasn’t enough that they parodied Star Wars, now Family Guy has done The Empire Strikes Back.

They just happen to have called it “Something Something Something Dark Side.”

It’s even getting a DVD release before it airs on US television. The hour long DVD features include a pop-up video, a featurette, the animatics of the episode, and deleted scenes. It will be released in the US on December 22nd.

If this is coming out on Blu-ray disc, then I presume it’s a 16:9 production because HD automatically has to be widescreen. Just wondering why the trailer was in 4:3.

The thing that I find to be a bit of a rip off is that when these 40 minute specials get released on DVD, they cost $30!! That’s like $15 a family guy episode, I’m hoping that once all 3 (or possibly 6) are done, that it comes in a box set for a more decent price.

This one will probably give family guy a push but still it’s a shame to see all the humour leaving the TV show

So true DansDans. Family guy is so lowercase lol now. It used to be LOL. Whilst American Dad remains LMFAO.

“Come on Luke, joing the dark side, it’s really cool!” Lol, I would join the dark side if Seth Macfarlane is there :D That guy is a genius.
