From today GO! and 7TWO have been added to Foxtel platforms.
7TWO has been added to CH 127, available nationally on cable and to satellite viewers on the East Coast.
GO! has been added to CH 129 nationally on cable. There are no immediate plans for satellite subscribers.
Unfortunately there are also no plans to list digital channels together with other FTA channels on the EPG, which leaves them listed underneath All Channels.
ABC3 will be added to both cable and satellite from December 4th.

what’s the deal with having early 90′s programme’s on these new channels, we are in the millenium here no good for this generation times and society have changed, also the programmees that are screening I had seen them last year for example dog the bounty hunter new year new programmes please
there was a documentary called maximum security on 7two on a wednesday night at 8.30pm which was said on the tv guide that it was a six part series and it had shown only episode one, just want to know when the next five episodes will be screening or what store can I buy it from for myself
GO! Getting ready on Satellite.
Channel is currently showing as Spare with a annoying tone and a Foxtel 16:9 Test Card – but the EPG is showing the same as the Terrestial Channel.
David, Foxtel did an upgrade overnight and yay, GO (129) is now listed in the TV Guide for Adelaide. I am very happy now.
GO! Website now says “Look for GO! to launch on satellite some time in the new year. “
Since Go! is the 2nd tier channel from the Nine network then until WIN reaches agreement with Foxtel for carriage they will not allow anything more than what was already there (i.e. the Nine SD service on 100). So no EPG, no Nine HD and no Go! So Perth/Adelaide cable viewers should not be surprised that there is no Go! on 129. Foxtel HQ is based in Sydney/Melbourne and usually Sydney+Melbourne is synonymous with nationally most of the time (unless they bother to check) as far as they are concerned
im in adelaide and got cable i got 7two but not Go why it that
I called Foxtel (im in Sydney), I have satellite – they told me that I need to call the FTA channels direct as it is the FTA channels that are refusing to put the channels on satellite (or any other service in any locations they choose), not Foxtel. I would prefer Cable but for some reason cable aint available in my street (it is in every street around me).
Nice to see that our Number 1 network is thinking of the Sattelite customers – Thanks Channel 7
@ geebs i am the same foxtel via optus in melbourne and i only have 7two. shame i was looking forward to GO. David do you know when GO and One will be given to optus customers
Called Foxtel and they did a reboot – but still no GO channel 129 – they said it was available nationally and had no idea why I wasnt receiving it in Perth. Hence the reboot
Tech support said the feed was there but could be a problem at their end ????
They assured me that it would be available as soon as they worked out what the problem was !!!!!
I am in adelaide. Rang Fox/Telstra who patronisingly told me that Go wasnt on in Adelaide and in Perth (I got that when I turned the telly on thanks) and that they had no idea why but it just wasnt and it probably would be but they didnt know when…maybe. They also told me i didnt have ch9, which I do (but no EPG). I’m making a complaint to consumer affairs as I believe they have falsely advertised but I dont expect anything.
Thumbs up to Seven. Hopefully Nine can one day get around to adding GO!. It’s funny that Nine was on Foxtel years earlier than Seven and Ten (on Melbourne satellite) , yet Seven is super quick with their multi-channel.
When will these chanels start on Austar??
Also, do you know when 7TWO will start on Prime??
Is GO! the only channel missing off Foxtel Satellite? If so, will it affect their ratings?
Well I am not surprised that on Perth Foxtel cable we have 7two but Not Go! (which is what I suspected all along: no Nine EPG, no Nine HD, note the pattern?).
Interesting, there was a brief item discussion on one of the forums:
knowfirst.info/forums/showthread.php?t=30453&page=3
that Foxtel were reaching agreement with WIN to carry the Nine service (even as far as suggesting satellite?!) to Perth/Adelaide. Anybody have any inside information on this?
I’ll believe it when I see it ….
Noticed 7Two kicked off last night, when i was flicking channels had to look twice lol
same here geebs
i’ve been wondering for a long time why that is!
especially seeing as we have the full package… is optus just getting lazy?
I am in Melbourne with cable Foxtel through Optus, and I also have 7TWO but no GO! I also don’t have ONE.
I have foxtel satellite and am in Gosford and have 7two but no GO! (yet)
no 129 in Adelaide. Surprised? No!
@ John. FTA local channels re-transmitted through Foxtel are “free” and subscribers don’t pay for them.
So if your local FTA broadcasters have not done a deal with Foxtel to be be-broadcast, then there is no real “discount”
David: Foxtel transmits to regional WA.
If GO isn’t available via Foxtel that’s Ok, we hardly watch Ch 9 as we don’t have their EPG available in Adelaide (cable) and so we can’t put anything in the planner to watch like we do with 7 (and now 7TWO) TEN, One, etc so what’s good for Ch 9 is good for GO ! (hope you are reading this WIN, who own Ch 9 Adelaide)
I am in Sydney with Optus TV featuring Foxtel. I have 7TWO but no GO!
When are we in regional Australia going to get a discount for all the channels we miss out on?.
Today, I thought I hadn’t got 7TWO on Melbourne Satellite, but it was. The channel is in the entertainment section of the TV guide. Why can’t Foxtel put the multichannels in the same menu as the other FTA channel? Whatever happened to common sense?
I guess with Austar having a FTA digital tuner there is no need for them to have the channels re-transmitted on satellite? but what of those out of FTA range, IMO Austar should carry them.
Does anybody know if ‘East Coast’ includes the ACT, for these 2 channels (and even ABC3) to be added? It would be sweet to finally get some commercial FTA channels viewable through foxtel, esp. now Top Gear is on Nine, not SBS
I’m checking GO! info again with Foxtel for Adelaide and Perth.
Foxtel doesn’t transmit to regionals.
after seeing what’s on for the next week for these two channels I find myself thinking… “Why did we want these channels so desperately?” Guess it was just a case of channel envy lol
Tom im in Adelaide as well, was at my sons house earlier and 7two was on but no go. yeah whats the go with that.
Have to say the pictures of GO and 7TWO look better thru my IQ2 than thru my TV panel! Love the convenience of being able to record GO and 7TWO shows on my IQ2 than having to resort to using my now redundant PVR.
In the EPG, Go & 7Two are both listed in the Entertainment category (as is ABC2).
ABC 3 is already showing a test logo and music.
I just realised i don’t watch anything on 7TWO and I only watch 2 shows on GO!. So much for more choice.
Kerry: Get thee a MyStar HD.
Jordan: I’d say Perth and Adelaide not having FTA’s is more than ownership. It would be a costly exercise, as beaming a signal to Perth is equivalent to coast to coast links in the US.
I’m in Adelaide with cable and i have 7two but not GO!
Whats the go with that?
Why aren’t they listed under FTA in the EPG? Is it to make FTA look like it only has 5 channels?
Very annoying!
I wish someone would jailbreak the iQ firmware to enable such things
It’s so great to live in a regional area. We get no perks at all, unless you count local news that I haven’t got a shred of interest in.
Failure.
I’m a cable subsriber from Perth but GO! isn’t showing up. 7TWO is up and working though.
Thanks Ch 7 for thinking of us Satellite subscribers……having both is great…….it’s so much easier to see what is on so when I like the look of something, it’s a swtch over to HD for 7
When are they going to add to regional
Interesting how these foxtel carrage deals go with shown in some areas more than others maybe because of some ownership.
Find it strange if it is particulary to do with nine I thought they would want to be doing this in a heartbeat I get all the channels anyway just curious in reasoning for the people that need foxtel through satellite to get free to air wondering if you have info about this David? (Guessing revenues)
