Gone: Mercy

mercNew US medical drama Mercy will become the first show to be shifted from Seven’s schedule to 7TWO.

Seven had planned to air the series next Monday after a brief interruption to fastracking caused by US programming.

But now it will be replaced by a second episode of Criminal Minds as from Monday. A repeat of the episode “True Night” will air in its place.

The series originally began on Seven following FlashForward before it was bumped to 10:30pm.

TV Tonight understands it will be coming soon to 7TWO.

    It sucks!
I was really enjoying Mercy and poof its gone..now you telling me it will be on 7TWO?
    What if I don’t have 7TWO????
Not too mention the disaster today..
All of a sudden Private Practice is 1 hour earlier without any warning and then amazining race which is usually on a thursday is on afterwards.
    Not impressed!!

  2. Michelle says:

Pfft. You people who are saying that Channel 7 loves Criminal Minds. It’s not on at all this week or next week. Which is pathetic, why!? It’s like my favourite damn show, and seven just doesn’t show it. Atleast you “Mercy Watchers” get a reason.

    Stuff you Channel 7!

  3. PetrinA says:

Please put Mercy back on! Its such a great show….started watching it because it was on after Flash Forward and loved it straight away. Personally I think its way better than the highly hyped & advertised Flash Forward!!!

  4. erin says:

not happy at all, really who does the programming at 7??? They obviously do not look at web pages like this & while we are all having a whinge, what is the deal with airing “murder she wrote” at 2pm everyday?? Everyone has seen it before – by choice or by boredom!! Here is a perfect timeslot for tv program repeats, criminal minds would fit in nicely, even flash forward, even bring back all saints repeats at least they aren’t dressed in horrible 70-80’s fashion!! Currently i would rather watch parliament question time on abc!!! Wake up channel 7 & listen to your viewers!!

  5. Kim says:

Put Mercy back on at a decent time. What gives you the right to take away good TV shows when it is so obvious, people love this show. Listen to the people who pay your wages!!!

  6. Anna says:

I am so disappointed! I definately agree that Mercy should of been put onto a different timeslot. They didn’t advertise Mercy very well, I didn’t hear or know anything about it until I accidently stumbled upon it after Flashforward. Channel Seven cannot continue confusing their viewers like this!
I do not have SevenTwo, and hope so much that Mercy comes out on DVD in Australia. Personally, it was a struggle for me to watch Mercy. First they changed it from 9:30 to 10:30 and then continuously they skipped weeks and didn’t air the show!
    How very disappointing!

  7. Ingrid says:

When are you going to put Mercy back on TV? I enjoy this show. Just put it on any time instead of repeats! Please!

  8. Betty says:

Task about pi**ed! I stayed up until 10.30 last night to watch Mercy – this is the second time it is advertised in the TV Week and then …..nothing! Channel 7 could (if there is a brain being used there) make an announcement that the regular Monday night Mercy will not be on! To make matters worse it is on toooo late for me so I tape it. If it has moved to Channel 7 two I can’t tape it as I dont have a digital Recorder!

  9. Kylie says:

Here we go again! Moonlight, Three Rivers, Without a Trace and now Mercy(:
For goodness sakes, I am so mad. I can’t take this anymore. Like Catherine I don’t have digital TV either and am so sick of everything moving there. Put it on at midnight, 3am whatever – just put it on channel 7!

  10. louise says:

there really is no reason to wonder why DVD sales of tv shows do so well

  11. Nikki says:

I’m a channel 9 viewer at 9.30 Mondays since they started buggering about with the timing! I love the show, I hope it doesn’t get ditched like so many other great shows!

  12. moog says:

David, is there any news yet on when Mercy will be moving to 7TWO?

  13. Chloe says:

Wonder how long it will take them to put Mercy on 7Two? I am keen to keep watching this show, so hopefully soon. It really makes you question starting to watch a new show on any of the shite free to air networks. At least Pay TV will usually show a full series instead of yanking it off the air completely. Get your s**t together, 7!

  14. RichoTB says:

Great, repeats of the worst procedural on TV, 3 times a week.

    Pathetic Seven pathetic

  15. catherine says:

Noooooooo!. Sorry but I love this show and I do not have the new digital channel. It should have been put on a different timeslot. Thankyou 7 for nothing. Guess I will have to wait for the dvd. Personally i would have put it on after Packed to the Rafters.

  16. Mer says:

Me too – very disappointed as another Prime person! Can’t Seven replay it late at night (as well as other shows moved to Channel 7TWO such as Ugly Betty, Heroes and The Unit which we can’t watch online on the Channel 7 site)? If Seven keeps changing these shows to the new channel can they please put these shows on the list of shows we can watch online – at least until Prime get their act together.

  17. Kelly Clark says:

I agree Rachael, I dont have digital so I miss out.Dammit

  18. Rachael says:

Oh yeah, just punish us in the “Primelands” who have no other option than to watch online. Thanks yet again 7.

  19. Tasha says:

Oh, thats sad. I love Mercy! hopefully it wont clash with any other shows on normal channels. I really need to invest in Foxtel HD2 *sigh*

  20. Belinda says:

Is there even room on 7-2?

  21. Catie says:

I hope Se7en *do* air this on SevenTwo …. I understand sometimes things don’t rate as well as you’d hoped, but if SevenTwo respects the viewers it Has enough to air this on their b-side channel, then they’ll lock me in as a viewer.

  22. Stephen H says:

As long as Seven do play it on their new channel uninterupted then I will be happy.

  23. APM says:

with multiple repeats and timeslots, every channel has a show they love to play heaps.

    7 has Criminal Minds,
    9 has 2.5 Men,
    GO has Seinfeld
    and 10 has Simpsons, NCIS

  24. Andrew B says:

Another “Why bother” but this time from 7. Two weeks to go. All these last minute changes everywhere will confuse the audeince and not help in any last minute ratings anyway.

  25. Chris says:

I think Seven are just excited to play with their new toy. Now that they’ve got this new dumping ground and all.

  26. Jed says:

What’s the point, not long to go, and any other show will just rate the same anyway. When shows at 10.30 get moved there’s problems. It’s a great show anyway.

Don’t agree on Flashforward, i still like it, and it’s got me hooked.

And 3 episodes of Criminal Minds a week is a bit much, i actually like the repeats because i never used to watch it. Saw a bit over summer, liked it but there was always something else on, but i’m loving watching the old episodes.

  27. stevie g says:

Instead of the knee jerk reacton of shifting Mercy to 10.30, they could have waited and tried it on in place of AllSaints on Tuesdays, then PP could have returned with Greys.

Paull, I’m sticking with Flashforward so far, there have still been enough twists and turns to keep me coming back.

  28. Justin says:

Is Criminal Minds becoming the new 2.5 Men for seven?

  29. Michael says:

I remember this suggestion by a few posters here, we still get to have Mercy on our screens,
im lovin these second sd channels, they are quite handy hey.
One has to wonder why thre networks took so long to launch them.

  30. Paull says:

I don’t see flash forward lasting long either- started off great but the writers have really dropped the ball. Anyone else agree with me on this?

  31. David Knox says:

Trickier for Nine / GO! Not everything fits the GO! demos.

  32. Ahh.. but the good news is that 7 & 9, when they stupidly rip a show off before giving it a chance, are now putting them on their second digital channels.

Wouldn’t it surprise the hell out of them if some of those shows actually then did well!

  33. koverstreet says:

The thing is with CM although it’s a top notch show it doesn’t reward repeat viewings nearly as much as NCIS or CSI before it. I can watch NCIS endlessly because of the comedic elements which CM lacks.

  34. Craig says:

    Who didn’t see this coming?

Seven should leave Mercy on Mondays until the end of the ratings period and then consider a move, I like CM but come on Seven stop showing a 2nd ep after the new one, it’s becoming more like NCIS now.

  35. Shelly says:

It’s just desperate padding until ratings ends. Makes you wonder why they bothered with just 2 weeks to go!

  36. Ruddeger says:

Is Criminal Minds becoming Sevens version of Two and a Half Men ?
That’ll now be 3 episodes of CM on in a week,2 of which are repeats.
