Gone: Without a Trace. Returning: True CSI

By David Knox on November 9, 2009 / Filed Under Programming 24

witBalibo or no Balibo film, Anthony La Paglia’s Without a Trace has been pulled from Nine as of Wednesday.

Last week it took 345,000 viewers.

It will be replaced by new episodes of True CSI: Cold Blood this week at 10:35pm.

Presumably the 13 outstanding eps of Without a Trace -which includes its last ever episode- will pop up elsewhere on either GO! or Nine over summer….or even 2010?

Sounds like a job for Jack Malone….

Another week, another show gone to P*ss me off! Three Rivers on 10, Moonlight on 9 and now Trace as well. For goodness sakes, finish it over summer at least on channel 9 , not GO as I don’t have digital TV yet. I have watched Every episode of Without A Trace (that’s been aired obviously). I deserve to see the last half season!

Last week’s Without a Trace ended on a cliffhanger …. I kinda feel like someone ripped half the pages out of a book I was enjoying and replaced them with blanks, so I wouldn’t know. Everything Nine does indicates to me that they have Zero respect for their viewers. Guess what, Nine? We have Zero respect for you, too!

The idiots! Well thats 50 minutes less of Nine that I’m watching per week now. And they wonder why viewers don’t like the channel!

  5. Katrina November 10, 2009 at 11:07 am -

The bastards! Do they really think anything else will do any better at 10.30pm?

    Typical!!!

It’s a great show, love the actors & storylines.
What a pity ch9 couldn’t see it does actually have some fans!

    Not happy Channel 9!!!!

@ Andrew b – Channel Ten does it all the time too.

    EG three rivers gone
    ncis repeats.

Channel ten would be just as bad as nine .

I really don’t understand Nine. There’s only a few weeks until non-ratings, it’s at 10:30, why can’t they just keep it on and keep fans happy? I’m not a fan of WAT but I’d be annoyed if I were.

  9. Andrew B November 9, 2009 at 5:58 pm -

@ Vinny – True but Nine do it more than anyone – by far.

  10. vinny November 9, 2009 at 5:37 pm -

For those of you that think Nine is the only channel that removes programs and shifts things all the time, sbs even did it by putting south park episodes on at 10pm monday and then removing them 2 weeks later.

Ten also put repeats of Talkin bout your generation … and then removed them, then changed the time of rove etc etc

Only reliable channel is the ABC 1 and 2

Typical Ch 9, they can’t finish yet another series off……..Not happy

@ Kathy: Secret Millionaire is not on the following two weeks either due to the CSI triple and the ARIAs Nov 26. Given how well the show has been going, maybe Nine will hold them off now until next year.

  13. Andrew B November 9, 2009 at 4:47 pm -

Why – there is only three weeks to go and NIne has not and cannot win the ratings this year in any case. Agree it should just be left on to play out including through summer. That way it would actually finish just before 2010 ratings year starts.

And it’s not looking good for ER either. Back half an hour this week and not on the next two. Hope they put it on during summer. If not, please Nine give up ER so 111 hits can show S14 and S15,

    vinny aka tvaddict0909 says:
The Secret Millionaire is also gone this week…. what the ?

SM has been replaced with ‘Fergie: Duchess on a Mission’ for this week only.

Fergie had to be rescheduled as a result of the Don Lane Special a few weeks back.

I know which show I would be rather watching…

I like Without a Trace but gave up trying to follow this season when it went into 10:30 time slot (when not bumped) – if nine isn’t loyal to its viewers why should we be loyal to nine?

  16. Matt November 9, 2009 at 2:36 pm -

Slowly but surely, nine is becoming a network of endless 20-1, two and a 1/2 men and csi repeats. All other programming goes onto the Go! channel……

  17. Shelly November 9, 2009 at 2:11 pm -

Hey Craig, Nine already buried the remaining eps of the Gilmore Girls final season at midnight on Thursdays. Sorry! But I’d be happy to watch re-runs on GO!

  18. vinny aka tvaddict0909 November 9, 2009 at 2:03 pm -

The Secret Millionaire is also gone this week…. what the ?

  19. Ruddeger November 9, 2009 at 2:01 pm -

    Typical channel Nein

  20. Cathy November 9, 2009 at 1:15 pm -

    what is Ch9 doing?
is it having a competition to see how quickly it can drive the viewers away?

  21. Craig November 9, 2009 at 1:09 pm -

Typical Nine, here in WIN country I’m still waiting on the last half of the final season of Gilmore Girls, which ended in the US over 2 years ago. Maybe it and shows like Everwood will come to GO! some day?

  22. Tess1988 November 9, 2009 at 12:42 pm -

This is what is wrong with channel 9 programing, even so i haven’t been watching and have no plans to why carn’t 9 just play the 13 outstanding eps and be done with it, or at least wait until the next season of a show ends on GO! and then move it over there, how are people meant to trust 9 anymore, it changes every other week

  23. Leon November 9, 2009 at 12:32 pm -

It’ll find a home on GO! everything else that Ch9′s Main Channels axes ends up there anyway!

  24. Justin November 9, 2009 at 12:27 pm -

    Typical…..
