Next Wednesday The Wire is out, replaced by a double episode of Fringe from 8:30pm. Double Fringe also continues a week later.

Drop Dead Diva is out on Thursday 19th replaced by the 2005 movie House of Wax at 9:30pm. The show is back on November 26th but at 10:30pm.

sc- they have run stacks of ads on GO! about this, they are going on about november for survivor, the ads say that there are doubles on tuesdays and triples on friday. I must have seen this ad atleast 20 times. plus if you have digital you have an EPG and it is listed there.

Without warning on GO… Maybe they should have told us after the end of Tuesday episode?

Dont worry I always trust TV Tonight for up to date info, but will admit i missed it on this site.. oops :)

Is it just me or do these changes make some logic (note the word some). Survivor fast-track to make sure it’s finished before the new season starts on Nine, and movies that should have been on Friday being put on Sunday night. As for fringe and moonlight, it could be just to finish the series before the end of the ratings period. As long as the shows come back in a few weeks it shouldn’t be too bad

    Without warning?

That’s why I also put it in Top Pick.

  6. sc November 13, 2009 at 8:58 pm -

GO has just put 3 new eps of Survivor Tonight ( Friday) without warning.
Why did I think this new channel would be different..!!!!

Just play the f…ing episodes in order, on the same night, at the same time every week and stop trying to second guess every other channel.

    Its not that f..ing hard!!!

I loved GO! when it started, and thought it was finally a place where lesser rating alternatives would be permitted to run their course without constant last minute re-scheduling, thus given a chance to build an audience. ‘Mind your Enthusiasm’ is an example.

But no, Nine programmers still don’t get the principle of viewer loyalty and are doing their best to crush any chance it might develop.

The official Go site says Gossip Girl will be back in three weeks with double episodes. It also confirms Weeds, Curb and South Park returning on 29th November.

  9. Di November 13, 2009 at 1:58 pm -

Please put Gossip Girl back on. I was so looking forward to watching it last night and it wasn’t even on :(

  10. Shelly November 13, 2009 at 1:17 pm -

Ugh! My HD recorder is in meltdown just trying to keep up! Please stop changing rating shows for things that don’t rate and making changes so last minute, we can’t possibly keep up with them!

  11. Matt S November 13, 2009 at 12:53 pm -

These changes are ridiculous. I don’t watch a lot of the programs on GO!, although I did sit down in front of Gossip Girl on a Thursday night. Not a big deal seeing as I’ve kept up with all of season 3 online, but I don’t see how they expect viewers to continue watching their channel if they don’t know what’s on and when. At the moment all I’m finding the channel good for is flicking through and hopefully seeing episodes of Seinfeld on.

  12. bindi November 13, 2009 at 1:07 am -

I’ve been pretty relaxed about all the changes up until now, but it is now becoming too much and just like channel 9. I was watching gossip girl and weeds, if they had been changed to another timeslot it would be ok, but they have been taken off, hopefully they won’t be gone for too long but viewer trust will take a lot longer to restore. 10HD never pulled this crap.

Other than homeFLOP 9 seem incapable of showing a series in it’s correct order from start to finish without chopping and changing times/dates or dropping repeats in between.

  14. Luke November 12, 2009 at 10:20 pm -

Ummm . . . what? This is Gossip Girl they’re pausing not some yuck ‘The Hills’. The reason that so few have been watching it is because everyone in that show’s key younger demographic region are already watching season 3 online. I know I am. Even Foxtel is too far behind. I’m not waiting, it’s too good a show.

  15. Suse November 12, 2009 at 9:56 pm -

Sooo unimpressed with Gossip Girl change for Thursday night 12th. Even GO! blurb said it as on, plus every other guide I looked at. I just want some consistency from at least one channel!! There was nothing wrong with the lineup. It had me hooked (well, it did).

  16. Matt November 12, 2009 at 9:46 pm -

I can’t believe how many people actually put some trust in nine with it’s new Go channel, after all the programs they treated with contempt on it’s Main channel, they are doing the exact same thing with Go!
Whoever is responsible for nine and go’s programming deserves the boot….

  17. Craig November 12, 2009 at 9:00 pm -

    What are they thinking!

This is the reason people don’t trust Nine/GO! and go else where to what many of these shows years ago…

BTW will any of these changes be in print of updated online/onscreen?

  18. Baggygreen November 12, 2009 at 8:54 pm -

Nine doesnt own JB HI-FI do they? Up go those DVD sales again.

  19. mikeys November 12, 2009 at 6:46 pm -

    GO! to hell.

Zero respect for you viewers, and for the most part, fans.

  20. Belinda November 12, 2009 at 6:34 pm -

It is strange that they just re-edited the station promo with clips of The Wire, Weeds, South Park and now they aren’t there anymore.

  21. DP November 12, 2009 at 6:22 pm -

More arrogant stupidity from Nine. I had thought that the 2nd channel would give them the freedom to lock things into the schedule and leave them – but if anything it’s worse than the main channel.

Has anyone noticed that there’s 5 episodes of Survivor on this week? Now that’s an immunity challenge!

  22. vinny November 12, 2009 at 5:52 pm -

I think the programmers have been smokin the wacky tobaccy. I mean look at Channel Nine this year.

Putting Dance your as* off at prime time ! then putting on motorway patrol then cancelling it putting moonlight on , on the main channel even though it was airing on their secondary channel removing it after a couple of episodes, then replacing it with secret diary of a call girl then removing that series. Putting Ladette to Lady on for a second season , 1st season was ok, now the second one no one is watching it. Australia’s perfect couple , home made, random acts of kindness .. terrible shows. nine should really stop with reality shows as they suck at doing them. taking big bang theory out for a week and then returning it. advertising 2.5 men new episodes one one day and then they are changed to another day. overuse of 2.5 men as a filler. I have seen the lastest tv guide online and they have 3 episodes of 2.5 men consecutively, they are also doing this with GO! with seinfeld, yes ten uses the simpsons ab it, but not like 2.5 men ! taking secret millionaire off without telling people and replacing it with a show that rated poorly in it’s country of origin

  23. vinny November 12, 2009 at 5:41 pm -

I think once December comes around most if not all of these shows should come back.

    Here’s hoping.

  24. Paull November 12, 2009 at 5:29 pm -

Does channel 7 run GO!? And are they just trying to sabotage Nine/ GO!? Because seriously, these are the most stupid moves in TV. Nine, you had me thinking you were starting to change, but it seems you’re just more of the same.

I like Fringe, but 2 eps a week is a bit much for me- space it out to 1 please.

  25. Mr. Do-Bee November 12, 2009 at 5:09 pm -

Not content with destroying Nine, they have to go and stuff up a perfectly good Go! schedule and ruin that channel before it has even fully established itself.

Those Nine programmers are like a pubescent boy who can’t keep his hands off it. Leave the bloody Go! schedule alone, Healey, and let the series that are currently playing run their course.

  26. ryaneco November 12, 2009 at 4:45 pm -

These changes left right and centre and freaking ridiculous.

  27. Dave November 12, 2009 at 4:11 pm -

I agree with Vinny–The Big Bang Theory, Fringe & Moonlight are some of the highest rating programs on GO! No wonder they want to finish there seasons up prior to the end of the ratings year.

It is however sucky of GO! not to publish this information ahead of time and keep there own advertising material on the channel up to date.

It also in a way makes sense to give Gossip Girl a “break” at ep13, as that is the original mid-season break they used in the US back in 2007. (it is annoying of GO! to use S3 advertisments for Gossip Girl when they are showing S1 though!)

  28. Stephen H November 12, 2009 at 4:09 pm -

Vinny and any other people who are unhappy with the changes going on at Go go to the Go Facebook page and complain. That what I have been doing.

  29. tomothy November 12, 2009 at 4:02 pm -

I wonder if this sudden change in plans will be a pass or fail for them. I hope it is a fail, not just becuase I hate Nine, but as a lesson to not stuff your viewers around.

  30. Andrew B November 12, 2009 at 3:49 pm -

Well and truly out of hand now.

  31. Vanessa November 12, 2009 at 3:43 pm -

Good bye GO, it was nice while it lasted.

  32. APM November 12, 2009 at 3:40 pm -

this is so stupid! whats the point in creating a new channel thats meant to be there for low rating shows and so they can air them un-interrupted, when it ends up no different then the main channel?!

  33. vinny November 12, 2009 at 3:38 pm -

Maybe these changes are so they can get to the end of the seasons of Big Bang, Fringe, Moonlight etc

  34. Matt F November 12, 2009 at 3:36 pm -

Not happy with The Wire changes. I held off obtaining the final season to watch it on GO!.

You’ve now lost me GO!.. it should be illegal to interrupt a schedule change mid-way through a season.

  35. vinny November 12, 2009 at 3:32 pm -

I could see this happening. I was thinking last night, I bet they will stuff around with weekdays and what da you know, they do ! I must be psychic !

    Not good !

Who do I contact to complain about these changes, acma ? can someone point me in the direction of somewhere.

I can’t understand why they are changing it, by changing a good line up they are effectively letting 7 two win.

Wonder what the reasoning behind the changes is?
