Gone: Junior Eurovision

jevOriginally slated for next week, SBS has withdrawn Junior Eurovision 2009 from its schedule, to be replaced with a 2001 Egyptian movie.

The junior songfest recently held in Kyiv, was due to air on Wednesday January 6th at 1pm.

No doubt SBS is holding it until EV 2010 due in May.

  1. As for me, the adult Eurovision is much more interesting. There are serious candidates with really popular new songs that can become hits on Eurovision.

    This is a brilliant film from the late great Youssef Chahine… Very melodramatic and just the ticket I would say… Don’t miss it!

    It was available for viewing at the official JESC website during the contest and a bit after, not sure about now though.
