Slater ran away with the last series so easily. He should do it again. I just hope this doesn’t descend into farce as one competitor keeps going on and on about his personal life…

i watched most of the Greatest Athlete on Saturday arvo’s earlier this year on Nine if i wasn’t out. It was a pretty good show. Hopefully Seven plays it how Nine did (but why Tom Williams as host -i dont like him. lol)

No MJL it was held because you put an HTML link which is banned in Comments Policy. I’ve edited and approved.

The show will be on Seven.

I presume my comment was not approved because it shows you were wrong?

It’s not like I’m the only one who said it had was on 9, not 7. You should check your info a bit before writing these stories.

I don’t hold out much hope for all the pseudo macho-men ignoring MMs sexuality….they’ll get a dig in somehow.

9 had Rexona’s Greatest Athlete last year. I watched it every week and it was hosted by Andrew Voss.

It even says so on their official facebook site rexonamen?ref=search&sid=629537690.3252407233..1

I have no idea why you think 7 had anything to do with it.

God I love him. He’s so gorgeous and sweet. I was talking to a guy I was seeing at one point about him when he produced photos of himself with Matthew, turned out it was his ex-boyfriend.

Did the rights change for this show? I thought it aired on Nine last year.

Caught some episodes of this earlier this year. The show has promise, if its treated right and they can keep getting a decent cross section of sports people. It should do well.

Oh come on, they’re gonna be running around in speedos, i think we can do better than Cameron Ling. And while i do like Billy Slater, give me David Williams anyday.

Why has it moved to Seven? That’s a good thing, except they’ve picked Mark Beretta to host, one of the most annoying people on tv.

So the deodorant advertorial is back, with a all new team, on a all new channel… So how long will this last, before it goes to 7Two?

Wasn’t this on Nine earlier this year? It was hosted by Andrew Voss and Michael Slater, with Ricky Ponting.

They should do one of these for women too. I’m sure they could get some pretty impressive female athletes to compete. They’d have to be from different sports obviously. Maybe:
Tennis (Sam Stosur would be great)
    Swimming
    Hockey
    Netball/Basketball
Track & Field (like a Tamsyn Lewis/Sally McClellan)
    Gymnastics
    Ironwoman
    Soccer

I think it would be cool.

Matthew Mitcham is a great athlete and an inspiration.

i’m glad he’s still doing well after coming out – that he has done so with mature grace speaks volumes on the well adjusted person that he is.

I’ll watch this one with interest.

What network will we be seeing this on?
Seven personalities for a show first shown on Nine?
