For example, Lost. A bunch of peple are stranded on an island after a plane crash and discover that mysterious things are happening. Sounds lame, doesn't it? Or how about an FBI agent, a mentally ill scientist and his tearaway son investigate cases centred around unproven science? Sounds gripping, right? Except it's called Fringe, and it is gripping.
