Returning: America’s Next Top Model

In contrast to our local version, America's Next Top Model will welcome shorter models for its next cycle.

americas-next-top-modelCycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model begins mid January on FOX8 with guest judges.

This season will welcome women 5’7″ (170.18cm) and under the chance to compete, which contrasts to last week’s requirement by Australia’s Next Top Model for girls 172cm tall and over

Co-creator Tyra Banks returns as host with photographer Nigel Barker, runway expert J. Alexander and guest judges – including Lauren Conrad and Kim Kardashian.

The winner will be managed by Wilhelmina Models, receive a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl and appear on the cover and in a six-page fashion spread of Seventeen magazine.

It kicks off on January 19 at 7.30pm on FOX8.

  1. I Reckon America’s Next Top Model should be aired on a new channel called Bravo, Sunday nights at 7:30 from January 3rd 2010, while Australia’s or New Zealand’s Next Top Model gets aired on Tuesday nights at 7:30 on FOX8. That is if Foxtel gets its act together and launch all the channels on unknown dates with Bravo thrown in except for Comedy Central Australia from January 1st 2010.

FOX8 is better at airing America’s Next Top Model than Fashion TV. At least it gets aired for the full hour on FOX8. Hopefully when Bravo Australia gets launched on channel 125, FOX8 can hand over the rights to America’s Next Top Model while FOX8 just airs Australia’s and New Zealand’s Next Top Model.
