From the Department of Tell Us Something We Don’t Know, CBS has finally, officially, axed Three Rivers.

The medical drama struggled from the outset. It was pulled by the network on November 30th, and in Australia after just one episode.

CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said, “Yes, unfortunately, we’ve all known long enough to know, when something is on hiatus it’s code for something else. We were very proud of that show and it’s not often you get mail that let’s you know as a network that eight lives were saved by an organ donation and awareness because of the show.”

That’s bad news for Alex O’Loughlin business, who also saw Moonlight axed. But there is a ray of hope.

“We’re trying to find something for him,” she says.

And Alex fans take note, Oyster Farmer airs on ABC1 this Sunday night.

  1. You’re right David it isn’t anything we didn’t already know but on a brighter note for any Aussie who has never seen Oyster Farmer do yourself a favour and check it out this Sunday night it is an absolutely wonderful movie.

  2. I did watch the first episode of Three Rivers when it aired in Oz and I think it had great potential to become a truly brilliant show, but it just wasn’t given the chance. I want to see Alex O’Loughlin put in a stable show, or maybe they can bring Moonlight back? I still don’t understand why that was axed.

  3. Its a pity the show had real promise but I think part of the problem was the over-the-top us of star trek like screens and such, in real live some me one medical felicity that has them?

Oyster Farmer – David will ABC1 edit the jetty scene?
