Coming soon: Bones, Castle, Scrubs

By David Knox on January 25, 2010 / Filed Under Programming 15

As some readers have been asking, TV Tonight can confirm the impending return of new episodes of Bones, Castle and Scrubs soon on Seven.

Bones will resume from Season 5 Episode 7.

Castle picks up from Season 2 Episode 8.

Scrubs returns with Season 9 episode 1. This is where the series relocates to Med School, set one year after the finale of Season 8. Just two original cast members will be regulars on the show: Donald Faison as Christopher Turk, and John C. McGinley as Perry Cox. Zach Braff appears in the first five eps.

Seven is yet to announce any airdates, but has slated repeats of Bones on Thursday February 4th.

Ant, they are already about 8 episodes into Castle’s second season. They aired it around October last year.

I’ve been hugely enjoying the re-screening of the first season of Castle. But won’t we just be returning to that when the Tennis goes? I know Season 2 is currently screening in the US, but surely they’ll finish what they’re doing before embarking on Season 2 here?

Hung rights for FTA probably won’t be available for a while.

I would say they’ll bring back HIMYM/Scrubs followed by Cougar Town, Family Guy, etc. Can’t see them airing Hung before 10.30pm, if not 11pm. I’m expecting more of a lineup like this:

    7.30 HIMYM/Scrubs
    8.30 Ghost Whisperer
    9.30 The Amazing Race

Bones and Castle will remain on Sundays, it took Seven too long for them to find a consistent Sunday schedule for them to just throw it out the window.

Bones and Castle together, on Sunday nights. Works well, why change it?!

One Word, Awesome! Not Scrubs though. Never been a real fan of this show.

I think Bones and Castle will keep their Sunday timeslot. I think this will be what Thursday Night will look like:

7:30pm How I Met Your Mother
    8:00pm Scrubs
    8:30pm Cougar Town
    9:00pm Hung
    9:30pm Bones RPT
    10:30pm Family Guy
    11:00pm American Dad

    Bones and Castle good news!

    Scrubs? Meh…

I really hope Bones and Castle will remain on Sundays. They where doing really well for the network on that night, and I personally don’t think I could watch it on Thursday nights (other plans).

Still no news on Cougar Town? Seven are using the term “after the tennis” very loosely then.

There are some good eps of both Bones and Castle coming up, Scrubs is not bad either with many of the original cast making appearances.
