Dannii back for AGT

By David Knox on January 13, 2010 / Filed Under News 6

Dannii Minogue will return as one of the three judges for the fourth season of Australia’s Got Talent, claims the Daily Telegraph.

Host Grant Denyer is also a lock-on.

Red Symons and Tom Burlinson are ‘expected’ to be back, notes the newspaper. Symons’ return would no doubt preclude him from returning to Hey Hey it’s Saturday -unless, miraculously, both series happen to air back to back?

The Seven show is being primed for March, which will be an ultra-fast audition process, given the network has only just announced a call for acts. The show has certainly done wonders for Minogue’s career, leading to a seat on The X Factor in the UK.

She returns to that role from mid year.

Updated 14 / 1: Now hearing conflicting news on Dannii’s confirmation with AGT. A bit like that bump…

Well she’s confirmed her pregnancy today. Simon Cowell will be delighted as clashes with filming mean it’s highly likely Dannii will have to withdraw from the show this year, meaning he can get rid without a backlash and find a replacement more willing to be his puppet.

i don’t think she’s confirmed for x factor 2010 in the uk yet. i think all the judges are only on one-series-at-a-time contracts.

Dannii is great…. However I think she would be much better on Australian Idol, perhaps for 2011?

The most confusing thing about this show is that it is hard to tell the difference between the heats and the finals. A significant change in set between the two would really help.
