Got Talent, got McFadden?

By David Knox on January 29, 2010 / Filed Under News 16

Another hint today that Red Symons might be exiting Australia’s Got Talent and returning to Hey Hey its Saturday.

Both the Herald Sun and Daily Telegraph claim Symons could be departing the talent show, in favour of his former variety show at Nine.

That would leave a vacancy -or two of Tom Burlinson is not asked to return.

Kyle Sandilands and his pal Brian McFadden are two names believed to be in contention. On the safe list is Dannii Minogue, who ironically replaced Sandilands and Jackie-O on radio when they were pulled off air on Austereo.

McFadden was also a guest judge on Australian Idol as well as co-hosting FOX8′s Football Superstar.

Australia Got Talent is one of the worst programs ever and it astounds me that it rates so well and What talent do Brian Mcfadden, Kyle Sandilands and Danni minogue process that they could possibly judge other people talent.

Why is idot McFadden’s name thrown around everywhere these days?

How rude that a foreigner would get chosen for a job over home grown talent (especially one as boring as Brian).

PS is Delta still a singer or is she just going to appear in as many adverts as possible for the next 10 years?

Shouldn’t they be finding a judge who actually has some talent?

There are far better potential judges than these two drongos.

If they are not going to produce It Takes Two anymore, buy dont they get James Valentine to be judge. He wouldnt be a mean judge, but at least he’s a straight talker (and brings some humour). As in replacing Tom Burlinson, what about former Yellow Wiggle Greg Page? Only if his health permits him though.

ugh McFadden is so bland… And what is with the hair, yuk.

Cant we see some new talent? In the last few years hasnt the most successful shows in this genre been MasterChef and So You Think You Can Dance which has used judges relatively unknown to the mass public?
And Kyle? They seriously think thats a good move?
    Dont get the logic.

Tom Burlinson is painful to both watch & listen to so hopefully he goes with Red.!!

I guess McFadden would be good for the show as he has a younger point of view.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Dicko back at Ch7, however Kyle Sandilands looks about right to take over from Red Symons as mr mean.

IMHO most of these talent shows have judges with painfully massive ego’s who are forever checking to see if the camera’s are on them….

I don’t really mind either of them on their own (Kyle over Brian) but the two of them together would be just painful. Too buddy-buddy. Too much of a love-fest between the two of them.

Well my interest went out the window this year.

Kyle is an idiot and McFadden is one of the most Vanilla people around

Ok, I can live with that. Red on Hey Hey is excellent news but I’m not sure how they are going to go with out Molly.

As for the possible new line up of Got Talent, I like it. Adds a little grunt to the beastie !

I think the new name of the show should be ‘Australia’s Really Scraping for Talent’

    Kylie Sandilands..i mean, really!?
