krFormer 24 and Lipstick Jungle star Kim Raver, who has had a recurring role in the latest series of Grey’s Anatomy, will become a permanent fixture on the medical series.

Raver made her debut in the ninth episode of the show’s current sixth season, playing a new cardio surgeon brought in by her former Army colleague Owen (Kevin McKidd). In the hotbed of Seattle Grace emotions, she quickly stirred things up by professing her feelings for Owen, complicating life between him and Christina (Sandra Oh).

Seven is yet to announce an airdate for this series, which has aired ten episodes in the US, including a two hour season premiere.

Fantastic! Kim Raver was amazing on 24. I’m tempted to start watching Grey’s now just for her.

Love Kim but she hasn’t exactly been challenged in the acting stakes since Third Watch ended. I hope she gets some juicy stuff on Grey’s!

I wish she’d go back to 24! Audrey didn’t exactly get the happy ending with Jack first time round.
