Torchwood‘s fourth series may see some of it being set in the US according to one rumour.
Such a move could capitalise on the show’s growing popularity in the US where it airs on BBC America. Spies suggest half of the next series might be set in the US and half in the UK.
Another suggests, “Cashing in on the series popularity stateside, one of the suggested ideas is a twisty turny time travel tale which will include the appearance of a few sci-fi luminaries including Nathan Fillion as another Time Agent, Brent Spiner as ‘a senator’ and the return of James Marsters as Captain John.”
Meanwhile John Barrowman has suggested openly gay and Being Human actor Russell Tovey would be “the perfect companion” for Capt. Jack Harkness.

A logical guest star would be Anthony Head, linking the show to the Buffyverse just as Doctor Who had already done

Gareth David Lloyd said last year that Russell T was keen on doing a new series and as he is now living in the US it would make sense I suppose! But one gets the feeling that someone was bored over the holidays and decided to put two and two together and make seven!

Nathan Fillion recently weighed into the John Barrowman v Neil Patrick Harris Twitter competition where it was suggested over and over that they should work together.

Just because Nathan Fillion is doing Castle doesn’t mean he can’t do a guest appearance on Torchwood. Jolene Blalock did a couple of episodes of Stargate SG1 when she was on Enterprise

Even more logical since Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner are now working in the US for BBC America … and as for Russell Tovey joining … if it does not happen I for one will be very, very pi**ed!

Setting part of the series in the US could be a good move IMO.
Watching Russel Tovey in the replay of Being Human at the moment (Missed the start of the origional showing.) His addition to Torchwood would make it a great romp ….

James Marsters has already appeared in Torchwood in the second season but to have Nathan Fillion and Brent Spiner to pop up in season 4 would be fantastic.
