Melbourne comedian Dave Grant has died following a battle with pancreatic cancer, aged 50.
He died on Sunday.
“Surrounded by his loving family @ 4.25pm today at his home, my loving partner Dave Grant peacefully past away free of pain and suffering,” his partner Karen Livingstone wrote on Facebook.
Comedians including Peter Helliar and Charlie Pickering also paid tribute to Grant, who performed stand-up routines on several TV variety shows and had guest roles in Neighbours, Stingers and Eagle & Evans.
In December friends and family were concerned for his safety when he went missing after leaving his home, but he was found later that night.
See ya big guy. See you on the Bench again some day… -DK

A truly amazing guy with an infectious personality. Dave hosted our NSW Police Comedy Night in Gymea Sydney on the 21st March 2009 and won the hearts of all those who attended. We will all really miss him and wish his family our deepest condolences
Its a very big shock you were one of my closest friends, you always made time for everyone including me.
So difficult to accept that you were fighting fit at your 50th birthday party
Then a few months later you told me some bad news
You also told me you would do everything to beat this illness
You kept a brave front
It was difficult to see you in hospital.
Still you were making everyone feel comfortable
I didn’t want to accept what might happen
At least you are in no more pain,
Knowing you since I was 10yrs old,
When I wanted to start weight training at 14 you were there ready to come around and train with me every Sunday,
The best times we had were the one to one talks
They become fewer as time went on, with family commitments.
It was so nice to be at your 50th birthday party
where all your sisters and brother deciding to fly down for this event, and how you all still cared for each other
I will never forget how great a person you became.
You were a person that executed your aspirations
The comedy circuit will never be the same
You will always be in my memories
I’m really going to miss you Dave.
Your body maybe gone but your spirit will never die
RIP Ram
