February 24:
THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS – A comedy about a psychic unit in the US Army in Iraq. Starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey.

THE BLIND SIDE –The true story of an African-American boy who was adopted by a white family and went on to become an All American football star. Oscar nominations for Best Picture and Best Actress for Sandra Bullock.

LOVE HAPPENS – stars Aaron Eckhart, Jennifer Aniston, Dan Fogler. A widower who writes a best-selling self help book becomes involved with a woman in one of his seminars.

A SINGLE MAN – is the story of George Falconer (Colin Firth), a gay middle-aged English college professor who has struggled to find meaning in his life since the car accident that killed his longtime partner, Jim eight months earlier. Debut film by director Tom Ford and starring Oscar-nominated Colin Firth and Julianne Moore. David talks with Colin Firth.

DEAR JOHN
An army sergeant (Channing Tatum), comes home on leave from Germany and meets and falls in love with a college student (Amanda Seyfried). Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by John’s increasingly dangerous deployments. Even though they meet only occasionally, they stay in touch by sending a continuous stream of love letters that eventually trigger fateful consequences.

SEPARATION CITY
New Zealand film about falling out of love after being in a relationship with someone you once adored. Starring Joel Edgerton, Rhona Mitra, Les Hill and Danielle Cormack.

MY ONE AND ONLY
Starring Renée Zellweger Logan Lerman and Kevin Bacon. A self-absorbed woman leaves her philandering band-leader husband and takes her two teen-aged sons across the country.

MID-AUGUST LUNCH (PRANZO DI FERRAGOSTO)
A middle-aged unemployed man living in Rome with his elderly demanding mother finds he does not have a life of his own… plus David speaks with writer/director Gianni Di Gregorio about his feature debut.

It airs 10pm Wednesdays on ABC1.
