Ben Lawson lands second US pilot

By David Knox on February 26, 2010 / Filed Under News 4

Australian actor Ben Lawson has been cast in the US pilot Freshman for ABC.

The former Neighbours actor will star opposite Sarah Chalke (Scrubs, Roseanne, How I Met Your Mother) in the comedy which revolves around three first-year members of Congress who live together in Washington.

Lawson, brother of Josh Lawson, will play one of the roommates, a shockingly cheap congressman from Arizona. It is his second US role following the low-rated midseason drama The Deep End, which is not expected to return.

Brother Josh has a role in Romantically Challenged opposite Alyssa Milano for ABC.

Do we have any more recent news on Romantically Challenged because we’ve known about that for a lifetime now.

@tomothy, I think it was Will ( Christian Clark ) who came in at the same time as Frazer, Pepper and Rosie. He was meant to be a regular character but for whatever reason left earlier than he was meant to and Oliver (David Hoflin) came in to essentially take over the role his departure had left.

The British guy you’re thinking of Is perhaps Adam (benjamin Hart) who came in later.

At least he is going somewhere. When Neighbours introduce the four new cast members for Number 32 back in 2007(maybe 2006), they added, Frazer, Pepper, Rosie and British guy (cant remember the name). The british guy left after a few months in fear of being type cast and wanted to move on to bigger things. The only thing I have seen him in since is the K-Mart catalouge advertising old man clothing.
