Immunity is back up for grabs on Survivor as Jeff Probst signs on for two more seasons of the hit CBS reality show.

Probst confirmed via his Twitter feed, “I’ll be back snuffing torches for two more seasons.”

He will also continue to serve as an executive producer on the show.

CBS recently renewed the series for two more cycles, but Probst was yet to be confirmed.

The Emmy winning host has previously renewed contract extensions for only one year instead of two.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains premieres on Thursday in the US. After the brand performed well over summer Channel Nine has been running promos for the new series but is yet to announce a start date.

  1. This is good news. I fear Survivor could fall apart if Probst stopped hosting. Deserves as many awards as he can get for his hosting job, he is such an integral part of its success.

All we need now is a start date for Heroes v Villains.

  2. Every time I see Survivor in here David I think it’s that beaut BBC re-imagining of the 80’s UK scifi series, so I pop in for a look, sadly it’s not, it’s usually that icky, pooey, cheap, shallow, mind-numbing reality swill.
