Minor Spoilers: John Barrowman is finally heading to the US next week to begin a 5 episode arc on Desperate Housewives.

He will play the role of a villain.

Creator Marc Cherry has always been a big fan of the Barrowman since seeing him in Torchwood and in hiring the actor, he becomes the first UK based-actor to appear on the show.

“There’s been other Brits on there, but they all live in Los Angeles,” says Barrowman.

“I will be involved in the mystery storyline that they’re doing which is with the new woman on ….Wisteria Lane.

“I will affect every one of the women in some way,” he said.

Meanwhile Barrowman was coy on more Torchwood.

“I would, at the drop of a hat, love to do Torchwood again,” he said.

“I would love to do more than 5 episodes. But if that’s all we’re doing I’m happy with that. I just love the character, love the show, and would love to do it again. But I don’t have any other information.”

Yeah, suuuuuuuuuure….
