Spoilers: “Whizz Kids” Millionaire special

By David Knox on February 4, 2010 / Filed Under News 5

Minor Spoilers: Eddie McGuire filmed a special edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire yesterday, with “Whizz Kids” students competing for a cash prize for their school.

Participating in the special were students from Engadine High School in Sydney, and Blackburn High and Frankston High in Melbourne.

Filmed as a traditional Millionaire episode, rather than Hot Seat, the 2 hour special returned to 15 questions, and 3 lifelines.

The “Phone a Friend” was transformed to “Ask a Teacher” and “Ask the Audience” was “Ask the School”. Live crosses to the schools saw students armed with keypads, plus segments hosted by Scott Cam, Shane Crawford and Charli Delaney.

The special is expected to air during the Winter Olympics.
