This morning on the Today show, weatherman Steve Jacobs had a run in with a plucky pelican (twice) at Taronga Zoo.
The resulting gags are a little grating but you can check it out here.

@ Mr. Do-Bee – OMG!! You remember “Space Ace”? I thought that I was the only one who remembered that pelican. I was trying to find Any information about it on the internet, but couldn’t find a damn thing (only a Japanese anime series or something). I thought that I must have been going out of mind… So glad that I now know that I’m not actually crazy. Wish I could find a video or picture of “Space Ace” pelican though.

Karl & Lisa had to cross to a serious news story straight after so I think they were being professional.

A pelican called Space-Ace was amongst WIN-TV’s stable of stars back in the 1980s when a young Steven Jacobs used to work there. He must’ve been awfully mean to that pelican… perhaps this one is getting revenge on Space-Ace’s behalf.

Why can’t Nine relax their policy, so more of their content can be shared, at least with Seven, they stemmed the flow at the root, by setting up YT channels for Sunrise.
