@tasmaniandevil. fair call. i think i was actually just having a dig at 2.5 Men and those that say Cougar Town is a crap show. It’s still good numbers with over 1 mil but it’s ratings have been going down, and people keep saying it’s cos it’s crap. But 2.5 Men is woeful yet is the #1 show of the week.

  2. Harry March 1, 2010 at 12:24 am -

TEN need to fix their line up. Starting with getting rid of 7PM and moving TBL back to 7.00 where it rated well for them. MC will will cover that slot once TBL finishes and when MC finishes, TEN can experiment with new shows like they have with 7PM. One episode (Tues 8.30) of NCIS is enough, you dont want to kill a top rating show while it still rates. Keep House at 9.30 on Sundays, it does very well there. TBYG back on Tuesdays, Dance back on Sundays and then again on Monday. Goodwife on Wednesdays, SVU to remain on Thurs. Good News Week doesnt do very well for TEN, maybe something like Glee on Mondays?

lol, who saw josh smash the light on set?? i was lmao! he just threw the item and then smash, so much better ep than last week!

    5:30pm The Project
    6:00pm TEN News
    6:30pm The Biggest Loser
    7:00pm Neighbours

  6. messy February 28, 2010 at 5:46 pm -

@ducko…don’t know what ABC you have watched because Bed Of Roses is a good show. Its funny and witty along the Sea Change lines. Much better than a lot of other crap aussie shows like Neighbours and Home and Away.

  7. Trent February 28, 2010 at 5:41 pm -

6.0% for 7TWO last night? OMG!

  8. chk chk February 28, 2010 at 4:37 pm -

Darn I forgot to watch (and record) The Ring, hopefully Go! repeats it!!
Cougar Town is unfunny. It’s rating ove 1 mil because it’s aimed at older people i.e. the cougars and there’s plenty of them out there.

  9. Ruth February 28, 2010 at 4:17 pm -

ABC’s ‘Silent Witnes’ was again well put together, great plot which was both brilliant and frightening on Friday Night. Last one in this series next week.

I hope CH 10 don’t dump ‘While Collar’ . It’s not a great show but is entertaining and easy to watch, but the10 PM timeslot is too late.

  10. Jerome February 28, 2010 at 3:27 pm -

about 15% of viewing was on digital channels on Saturday. that must be some kind of record.
7two did well with 6% they have a good advantage of being a broad entertainment channel over a demographic skewed channel when it comes to saturdays

  11. RichoTB February 28, 2010 at 2:09 pm -

7pm Project is the Ten equivalent of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

House is rating better now on Sundays than it did on Wednesdays for years, moving it back would be a stupid decision.

  12. Dakota February 28, 2010 at 1:11 pm -

I hope they move Sleuth 101 and give it a chance on a Wednesday, its a great show if its given a chance. I’ve really gotten hooked on it.

  13. Jarred February 28, 2010 at 12:58 pm -

    @ Francis,
That line-up has too much biggest loser, only half hour of TBL on Sunday. Also, Good Wife is rating really well where it is at 8.30pm so why push it back to 9.30pm to fit in the under rating dance show. I agree with the Your Gen move back to Tuesdays and the Dance move back to Sundays and Mondays like Idol. It also feels like Ten has too many american cop shows, multiple version of law and order and NCIS is just too much, but i guess that rate reasonably well though.

  14. ducko February 28, 2010 at 12:32 pm -

Why has ABC gone ahead with a third series of Bed of Roses. What a turd. The ABC drama department has no idea, which is sad because the ABC used to produce great drama.

  15. tasmanian devil February 28, 2010 at 12:21 pm -

    @ Jed
“Maybe if they changed the title to 2.5 Men people would watch”

Actually my comment was a little ambiguous. What I meant was that you apparently implied that people don’t watch Cougar Town and that it deserves to rate higher, when in reality it enjoys >1 million figures.

  16. alvar February 28, 2010 at 11:53 am -

i have stopped watching biggest loser this year because of the 7:30pm timeslot and because it is on too often.
i would start watching again if it were only shown for half an hour each night, and back on at 7:00pm.
i think it really worked at 7:00pm because it was something different to the usual two and a half men and home and away, but 7:30pm is more competitive and i’d rather be watching new 2.5 men, big bang, ugly betty, etc.

i’d also prefer how i met your mother put back to 7:30pm, and perhaps new amazing race at 9:00pm.

  17. Nathan from Extra Source Podcast February 28, 2010 at 11:39 am -

Really enjoyed Wizz Kids last night.
    Cant wait for some more!!

  18. Francis February 28, 2010 at 11:14 am -

This should be channel 10’s weekly schedule. Tell me if you agree or not

    Sunday : 7-8 (Looser), 8-9.30 (Dance), 9.30-10.30 (Good Wife)
    Monday : 7-7.30 (Looser), 7.30-8.30 (Dance Results), 8.30-9.30 (NCIS)
Tuesday: 7-7.30 (Looser), 7.30-8.30 (TAYG), 8.30-9.30 (NCIS: LA)
    Wednesday: 7-7.30 (Looser), 7.30-8.30 (Medium), 8.30-9.30 (House)
    Thursday : 7-7.30 (Looser), 7.30-8.30 (Law & Order) 8.30-9.30 (L&O: SVU)
Friday : 7-8 (Looser). 8-8.30 (NCIS rpt) 8.30-9.30 (Law and Order: CI)

  19. Jed February 28, 2010 at 11:02 am -

@tasmanian devil, why is that comment aimed at me??

  20. Jade February 28, 2010 at 10:08 am -

I’m sorry but why does eveyone always beat up on 7pm an not Neighbours? Neighbours consistenly rates lower than 7pm. Maybe the problem isn’t the lead in shows but the primetime shows themselves. TBL is on way too much, why the hell is it on every night? It should be like the US version and only on once a week. Also SYTYCD has lost the appeal it once had. It’s dragged out too long and the judges are hopeless on TV, yeah?

My thoughts anyway. We want more scripted TV and less of this tired reality rubbish. Why couldn’t ten get the rights for Jersey Shore or something – something people are actually talking about!!

  21. Rob February 27, 2010 at 11:07 pm -

Just wanted to clarify in case anyone was even slightly confused where 7pm Project stood on Friday night:

    447,000 nationally.

David Mott: wake up, Rome is burning.

  22. messy February 27, 2010 at 9:58 pm -

hahaha @ Ed….you have no idea.

  23. steven g February 27, 2010 at 8:08 pm -

Hi David, Any figures for Breaking Bad ?
It’s far to good to be hidden away on abc2 on a friday night !

  24. Ed February 27, 2010 at 8:07 pm -

    @ Messy.
I’m sorry but if you would seriously have us believe Chris Bath is one of television’s great personalities, then your pro 7 bias is more transparent than ever before.

  25. Daqua_99 February 27, 2010 at 7:12 pm -

Ten needs to do something about their early-night lineup. They go into primetime with the largest ratings, by far, and they lose it with The Simpsons. Ten should try to take on Seven and Nine with a 6pm news bulletien. Even if they trial it for three months or so they cannot do worse than what they are doing now. 400,000 is terrible …

  26. Anthony February 27, 2010 at 6:03 pm -

Wow tens friday is pitiful, why is the 7pm project still on? they must beable to find something that rates better than it. Yes nines commentators for the olympics are all pretty poor, isnt gian rooney a swimmer? what does she know about winter sports, or eddie mcguire for that matter?

  27. ryan February 27, 2010 at 6:03 pm -

Ten need to do alot of changes
    1. they should scrap ncis l.a on tue and replace it with a repeat of ncis 2. they should kill off or move 7pm project to 6pm before masterchef starts. 3. put your gen on mondays 7.30 once 7pm is axed. 3. move dance to 7.30 sundays for 1.5 hrs and have good wife at 9pm, then move house to wed 8.30. 4. Time for a complete news overhaul! new look and feel and new promotion, including a major promo of all new series coming up. I could go on but i will stop there:) lol

  28. Jarred February 27, 2010 at 4:39 pm -

I think the reason for Cougartown’s unusally high ratings is not because of the show itself obviously (btw-Courtney Cox isn’t doing herself any favours) but because of the lack of competition around it. Look at what else is on between 830-9pm.

Nine has 20:1 – this is all ‘been there done that’ with nothing really new and exciting
Ten has SYTYCD – rating poorly this year due to it’s ‘been there done that’ factor and it will most likely continue to as the novelty I think has worn off now like Idol.

So really it’s no surprise that Cougartown is rating highly and I say that because I found myself watching it for that exact reason.

  29. ryan February 27, 2010 at 4:27 pm -

Loser shouldnt be 1.5 hrs on fridays! ( tens worst day) they should have another day during the week that is an hr episode, white collar should be switched with ncis like Harry said.
Gnw should be 1 hr! then something new at 9.30. not 10, its too late to put a new show on for most people. Great to see 7pm get such good figures and show why ten are keeping it! god dam loosers

  30. tasmanian devil February 27, 2010 at 3:35 pm -

@ Jed – 7 promoted Cougar Town more than Eddie says “good stuff” on Hot Seat, therefore it rates over a million, which can hardly mean people don’t watch it. I could think of dozens of shows off the top of my head that are better than Cougar Town and rate less than half of what it rates.

  31. Kuttsywood February 27, 2010 at 3:26 pm -

I think Ten’s idea of putting all required children’s programming between 7 and 9 has paid off… I think The Shak axing (in fact any potential axing in the 4pm slot by Seven or Nine) is all due to Ten’s proportionately large adult audience (for every kid, watching The Shak, three more people are watching Ten) in that slot, kicking any childrens product. The same effect was done to Saturday Disney, before Saturday Sunrise started up, with Nine being the only adult choice.

For all the problems the network has, this is the best thing for them, as their full news lead-in hour is solid, not partially weak, like 7 and 9’s, where antiques and nearly 40 yr old programs rule the earlier part of their lead-in hour.

  32. messy February 27, 2010 at 3:02 pm -

@Johnson……No, don’t be silly. Chris Bath has more personality and is far more attractive than anyone else on any news program.

  33. koverstreet February 27, 2010 at 2:41 pm -

I have to agree with those bashing Cougar Town it’s a silly low brow show and painfully unfunny. I’m a huge Friends fan but CC was also very unfunny in that show as well which was carried by her hilarious pals like Schwimmer and Jen aniston.

  34. ducko February 27, 2010 at 2:35 pm -

@ Ryan, I agree with all your comments about the 7pm Project. Until 10 removes it from their schedule, I refuse to watch Biggest Loser or Dance because the new timeslots do not suit me.

  35. David Knox February 27, 2010 at 2:33 pm -

    The Ring GO! 89,000.

  36. Harry February 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm -

I cringe at TENs Friday. The Biggest Loser should only be on for an hour maximum, followed by White Collar at 8.30, and then an NCIS repeat at 9.30. I think TEN would find their shares to be a little higher than 15.

  37. Johnson February 27, 2010 at 1:51 pm -

Nine News beat Seven News in Sydney five nights in a row. Shouldn’t Seven be worried about the appeal of Chris Bath and also the new graphics?

  38. Craig February 27, 2010 at 1:33 pm -

Agree Cougar Town is utter rubbish. I thought i’d try and episode this last Thursday – how it can rate over a million is beyond me. There was nothing funny about it whatsoever.

  39. gerry February 27, 2010 at 1:14 pm -

Any numbers for “The Ring” which was on GO! last night? Wow, for the first time I was actually happy to see ads, while watching it. Such a relief from the tense stuff on The Ring.

  40. messy February 27, 2010 at 10:38 am -

@ Jed and Allie….I also agree, so why aren’t Nine listening? My guess is that they assume Eddie is a celeb and that they need a “name” to lead their telecast.
We all know he is just an overhyped, ego seeking nong but he does have a contract!
At least other networks select “celebs” who have had some input and experience in sporting events but just looking at nines main team, its a wonder getaway and Domestic Blitz “celebs” didn’t get a look in.

  41. Allie February 27, 2010 at 4:43 am -

@Jed, I agree with you about Eddie McGuire and Alisa Camplin. Worst. Commentators. Ever. I had the misfortune to hear their commentary for the womens’ aerial finals. Uggghhh!!!! Eddie clearly had no idea about the event and whilst Alisa is very knowledgeable, her voice is like fingernails down the blackboard to me. Awful, she needs voice coaching or something. When Lydia Lassilis won, Eddie’s commentary was just so embarrassing, along the lines of “Australia salutes you, your son salutes you”, “You’ve done your country proud”, “insert done-to-death cliche here”. Just awful.

  42. Jed February 26, 2010 at 10:01 pm -

I thought Eddie McGuire was the worst commentator,a nd while he is terrible, Alisa Camplin is just awful. Can’t listen to her, her annoying voice, her over the top yelling. Ugh. And who’s the annoying girl commentating the speed skating?? Honourable mentions to Giaan Rooney and Steve Bradbury, worst interviewers ever. Cringe worthy stuff.

@Paul, i’m with you. I think Cougar Town is a good show. I’m still laughing. Maybe if they changed the title to 2.5 Men people would watch.

  43. Paul February 26, 2010 at 9:21 pm -

Clearly I am in the minority on this board when it comes to Cougar Town but I find it pretty hilarious. Maybe its because by Thursday night I’m pretty worn out for the week and this show just ticks all the boxes for easy light viewing. A million or so other people must agree.

  44. Justin February 26, 2010 at 6:20 pm -

How does Cougar Town rate over a million its totally Crap

  45. ryan February 26, 2010 at 3:05 pm -

i’ve been looking at last yrs figures and dance is down about 450,000. loser is down about 100,000. I bet david is stressing out over @ ten.

Do we have some numbers on how badly ‘The Circle’ is doing? I can’t even see it from this week. How I met your Mother deserves a better time than this dog on Thursdays – Move it back to Mondays Seven!

Damn it…Cougar Town didn’t drop much. Awful show.

GW also rated badly. Maybe they should shift it to 9.30 instead of TGYH repeats, then put TAR on at 7.30?

Anyone see the Daily Show last night? They were making insinuations about the sexuality of male olympic dancers.

I guess Eddie and Mick aren’t the only ones who find it funny.

    Alas it was already scheduled.

Nine must have read my previous post, now Go! is screening Blades of Glory on Sunday! I wonder if Johnny Weir will introduce the film first, LOL!!

its good to see dance pretty much hold onto its viewers. I watched s.v.u last night and i’ve loved every ep so far, esp last nights 1. I’m even enjoying medium and thats a pretty good figure for 10-11pm. 7pm project = death of ten

Getaway often gets ordinary ratings this time of year but picks up in the cooler months.

  53. dean February 26, 2010 at 11:46 am -

Good to see Ghost Whisperer failing as bad as The White Room. Hurry up and put The Amazing Race back on Ch Seven!

Getaway is getting surprisingly low numbers too…. looks like there’s not many people watching TV Thursday nights anymore.

As I said last week, blame late night shopping.

i’m actually really liking the sytycd live result show this yr. Im so glad they cut out the crap and just get down to business straight away. I also like seeing the solo’s and the music performance.

  55. damo February 25, 2010 at 10:13 pm -

sytycd. maybe people are just sick of the show and are bored with the product, like they are with idol and the tbl

  56. ryan February 25, 2010 at 9:20 pm -

I hope ten don’t do what they did to idol and have 2 hrs shows every week even though contestants are being eliminated! Its pathetic trying to stretch a show, i would say next weeks should finish @ 9.40( always 10 ins l8) then burn notice would do a little better aswell.
I also think if dance started @ 7.30 is would be doing alot better

  57. Paul February 25, 2010 at 9:13 pm -

@Francis…I completely agree with your frustrations. It is such a ridiculous timeslot, I don’t know what Channel ten are thinking with almost any of their recent scheduling.

  58. Justin February 25, 2010 at 6:36 pm -

Pitty The 7PM Project didnt continue its figures from last night – increased competition?

  59. turdall February 25, 2010 at 6:35 pm -

Is ICU’s figure bad enough to axe it? It might not be doing that well but not a lot is managing over 1 mill anyway.

  60. francis February 25, 2010 at 6:21 pm -

    Aaaaaahhhhh!!!

Move SYTYCD back to Sunday nights.

    Look at what it’s getting.

Not nearly the same as previous years…move it back to sunday nights
