Well Hung billboard

By David Knox on February 15, 2010 / Filed Under News 9

Check out this billboard for Hung that’s on display in Auckland -a giant well-proportioned pair of underwear.

The outdoor display company Colenso BBDO says feedback has been “extremely positive”.

“We felt that because of the nature of Hung — a comedic drama that pushes the boundaries of what we have come to expect from mainstream television and particularly TV One — it felt necessary to align the advertising creative in an equally eyebrow-raising way,” a spokesperson said.

“I guess the fact that it’s a gigantic penis in the middle of the Auckland CBD is pretty unique. On top of this, the fact that it’s advertising a show on TV One which is generally associated with more traditional programming makes this campaign even more special.”

Apparently they are yet to receive one complaint.

The show has aired in Australia on Showcase but Seven ought to try this idea when they are getting around to showing it!

That billboard is far more provocative than the show itself, which is actually quite tame and conservative. But its a clever idea to get it noticed!

Imagine pulling this stunt in Ipswich, they are too sensitive for a Sexpo billboard, let alone this.
