Now here’s a rarity… Alf the alien hosting The Tonight Show, which will air soon on 7TWO.

Joining the puppet host is Johnny Carson’s regular sidekick, Ed McMahon.

This aired for seven eps in 2004 as Alf’s Hit Talk Show on cable network TV Land network. It ran for seven episodes in 2004. The host is the puppet character Alf, of ’80s television fame. The show ran in a 30-minute block and featured guests such as Drew Carey and Joe Mantegna but will air as 1 hr on Friday March 26th at 6pm on 7TWO.

  1. Sorry all, correction – in 1988, is was a 1hr episode, split into two eps in syndication.
    tv.com classed it as two epsisodes in the listing, as they do with many shows which split in syncidaction.
    7TWO must be chosing to play it as one.

  2. so what the hell is this ? above it says it was a seven episode actual show but condensed into one episode to air on 7two

    1. It’s 60 minutes of Alf in which he hosts the Tonight Show. I didn’t state it’s seven eps condensed into one. We’ll need to wait for the following week’s Guide to see what is to come, and that isn’t available yet.

  3. This clip is from Season 3 Eps 4&5 (1988) where ALF has a dream where he is hosting The Tonight Show. It doesnt make sense that 7TWO would stop ALF repeats for these premiere episodes of Alf’s Hit Talk Show .
