By David Knox on March 3, 2010 / Filed Under News 23

AFL fans who live in Melbourne will probably be interested in this one.

Seven is looking for audience members for The Bounce its ambitious new football / variety show featuring Peter Helliar, Matthew Richardson and Leigh Matthews. It is pitched as a family-style footy show with news, personalities and comedy.

It also promises the first look at the AFL teams for the week, in line with speculation it will air earlier in the week than Nine’s The Footy Show, which returns next week.

The show will be produced at Global Studios, South Melbourne.

My father and Grandfather and my daughter were born in Carlton…
so my father and I barrack for Carlton and my son ( born in East Melbourne )
and daughter were given no choice in the matter of course!
As the National Vice President of the Rail, tram and Bus Union I have been
busy with work in the past year but I would like to spend some time getting
involved in barracking for the AFL again.

@John Jackson, Strauchanie is owned by channel ten. If seven want to use him they need permission from ten, just like how nine asks ten for permission for strauchanie to appear in the ej whitten games.

    Thanx, but no thanx.

I wonder if this will be where Strauchnie now appears or if he is now basically dead.

Is this Seven’s rip of “Before the Game”?

  19. damo March 3, 2010 at 2:49 pm -

i am a fan of richo. but helliar is about as funny as a wet blanket. they will struggle to get a crowd every week and they will struggle all together

  20. animal March 3, 2010 at 1:30 pm -

Well i am a fan of both Peter Helliar and Matthew Richardson.

But Seven has tried that many times, with different people to have a footy show on the tv in prime time, and they have all been endless failures.

The list goes on and on, and i believe this one will head the same way!?!

how can it know the teams before they are released from the clubs on Thursday? anything before that is just speculation…

aside from that, i may watch an episode. it doesnt sound too bad. Is before the Game coming back? i havent heard that its not, but i hope it is, its the best footy show out there
