FOX8 is again on the hunt for males aged 16-21 to compete in a new Football Superstar series.
The third series will see a winner given a contract with Brisbane Roar and a one year university scholarship.
No hosts have been announced for the third series, with Brian McFadden now a judge on Australia’s Got Talent.
Former Australian Youth team coach Angus Postecoglou, who will oversee the training, said, “There are a lot of kids out there with talent but what I’m looking for is someone with outstanding ability and technique. They must also possess the mental determination and vigour that sets them at the top of the game. If that person can keep himself in the forefront of our minds – he will be our ultimate winner.”
Series Two winner Luke Pilkington (pictured, centre) played his debut match with Melbourne Victory against North Queensland last December.
“The opportunity and exposure Football Superstar has given me has literally changed my life,” he said. “I have gone from playing with my local football club in Canberra to training full time alongside professionals everyday. It doesn’t get much better than that. Anyone that is serious about a career in playing football should turn up for try-outs and give it a shot.”
Applicants should turn up to register at the following locations from 7.30am with try-outs starting at 9.00am:

There are as many female soccer players as males so why not thinking about holding football superstar for girls aswell
They’ve got one!!!!!
Rumour in the UK is that Peter Andre is going to be the new host……Why oh why!!!!!!
it is all good but they forget the talented Goalies i was in the top 10 in Melbourne 2008 i currently am 2rd Keeper for Melb Knight seniors i to want the chance to get to A league. I feel they need to choose a Goalie in every State. Give us a go guys.
What i realy look forward to is the day they unearth an “absolute” superstar.
it good to see a reality show where the winner is chosen by professionals based on the contestant’s talent rather than public voting.
