Minor spoilers: And here is a first look at John Barrowman on Desperate Housewives, thanks to AfterElton.com.

So far we know he’s playing a baddie named Patrick, albeit a dashing one, in episodes that will be some time away on Seven (they haven’t even aired in the US yet).

Joining him in this pic is actress Emma Crawford.

Writer Marc Cherry wrote the role for him after being a fan of his other work, including Torchwood. Who can blame him?

Might wanna check what’s actually in the tea before you drink it…

  1. @Catherine: John Barrowman is an actor who made a name for himself on the West End, before becoming a huge star in the UK playing Captain Jack Harkness firstly in Doctor Who and then in Torchwood. Nowadays you can hardly turn the tv on in the UK without seeing Barrowman on it. To be fair, he is ridiculously good looking, insanely charismatic and extremely talented. He also has a huge following due to the fact he is an openly gay man.

    @Jack! – Barrowman has yet to meet with the Glee producers. There’s still nothing to suggest they will even want him on the programme (although I would have thought Glee would be the perfect place for Barrowman to be honest.)

  5. He literally started filming this month according to a segment on Jonathon Ross, so it’ll be a while yet before he appears. However, the States is up to episode 16 (aired) with probably 24 episodes to this season, and with JB slated to appear in the last 6 (?) episodes, and more than likely a month long hiatus in April, we mightn’t see JB until late April/early May. Can’t wait to see what he has in store for one particular housewife on the Lane.
