Injury forces Jessica out of TEN’s Dance

Ballroom dancer Jessica Prince has quit So You Think You Can Dance due to injury, paving the way for the return of Jess S.

Newcastle ballroom dancer Jessica Prince (pictured, left) has been forced to quit TEN’s So You Think You Can Dance Australia due to injury.

The shock exit for one of the Top 8 dancers in the TEN reality contest follows an injury in her lower back muscles.

During last week’s show she battled on and avoided elimination.

But medical advice sees her now having to quit the series.

Her dramatic exit is good news for another Jess as ‘Jess S.’ (pictured, right) returns to the series under the rules of the competition. The Sydney hip hop girl was eliminated from the show last Thursday.

Almost a year to the day dancer Penny was forced to quit the Top 8 in the 2009 series after cracking a rib.

  1. I agree with IMO, Bluman and Mer; Jess S is definitley worthy of being back in the competition. She’s a great dancer! Sad to see Jessica P leave the way she has, but the show must go on!

  2. It’s a shame to see her leave the show. It did sound like a serious injury when they first brought it up and Jason Coleman goes on and on about how that’s a life of a dancer. Some injuries you just can’t dance with.

  3. I think you are overlooking just how likeable Jessica is – I think that has kept her in the comp even though she has been out-danced the last 2 weeks.

  4. That’s sad to hear. I am however ecstatic that Jess S is now saved. She is in my opinion the best dancer on the show. Come on everyone – now is your chance to vote to keep her in.

  5. I personally think after last week’s performance Jess S should not have been the one eliminated. I think Jessica P got the sympathy vote, as did perhaps Nick who was saved over Matt, who last week put in a more solid performance. IMO. Still, I’m sure it’s disappointing for anyone to have to quit from injury, and wish her a quick recovery.
