@Jake and Guy: Seven actually gave the appeal some kind of national coverage. Every year since 2007, Mel and Kochie have hosted Sunrise from the tally room for the entire program, and the appeal phone line now begins at 6am instead of 9am as the result.
My fear this year is that the appeal could be somewhat upstaged by an NRL game between Melbourne Storm and St George Illawarra at Etihad Stadium (where the tally room is now located) at the same time as family activities are held.

I was in Melbourne last Easter and watched this and it was amazing stuff. I live in NSW and we dont have one of these. I would love to see Seven get together with Westmead Childrens Hospital or one of the major hospitals in NSW and do one here.

I would love for this to be televised on 7TWO. What is stopping Seven doing that? Or make it an National event. Its about time NSW have a telethon because i think we need one.

why would something that is for a Victorian Hospital, be shown in other states(even the concert thing they usually have at 7:30pm on Good Friday Night) and on 7Two?
The main focus is raising funds for the Children’s Hospital as the main point, not entertaining viewers as the main point.
