Nat Geo joins Blackberry

By David Knox on March 3, 2010 / Filed Under Pay TV 7

The National Geographic Channel has launched an application for Blackberry Smartphones in Australia and New Zealand.

The application features a collection of wallpapers, ring-tones and video highlights based on its documentary content.

Managing Director of National Geographic Channel, Australia and New Zealand, Ric Burns, says “The National Geographic Application not only cements our presence on the Blackberry platform, it provides National Geographic fans with the added means of accessing our content while on the go. In addition, it offers mobile users who haven’t yet been exposed to our content offerings, a new way of looking at the world.”

The application is available immediately on Blackberry App World and the National Geographic Channel website for Blackberry Bold smartphones.

Yeah I’ve seen some for the iPhone but they are either useless or cost a lot to get.

U mean slow news night, which is when I wrote it? I actually held off running it cos I was so busy with other stories, so I kinda wish for a slow news day sometimes. In answer to your question, no, but I like to try and broadly cover as much as I can (and this is where u say u luv me for it) including on air, off air and occasionally even technical.

Ano no word on iPhone app.
