TV Tonight hears Channel Nine is set to produce three telemovies with Underbelly producers Screentime, tipped to be shot in one block from June similar to its former Halifax, F.P. series.
Update: More info on this now contradicts the content of these three telemovies, leaving the genre wide open. Previous info it would surround the Walsh St killings appears to be conflicting.. .guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Talk of 3 Screentime telemovies filming in Melbourne still stands.

Nine seems to be producing a lot of Aussie drama this year. It’s just a pity that much of it seems to be cops & robbers.
Wow honestly has the industry run out of ideas. Where’s the experimentation, where’s something different. How about the try something different instead of annoying crime shows, Yes we know there is a murder but come this isn’t the tougher New York streets or the damp back alleyways of old London Town. We have a wealth of stories to be told and they don’t always involved crime. How about they do something about the formation of the Federation of Australia.
Geez, instead of making a movie of yet another real-life murder, how about doing Halifax again or something like it with a bit of real quality to it… I Guess that’s just not the current flavour of the month 🙁
Isn’t Seven planning to make a telemovie on the Walsh Street police shootings too?
Maybe they should bring back Halifax FP.
Rebecca Gibney could do the telemovies during her 3 month break from PTTR.
Please, not more good guy bad guy stuff…………………..
Do you think we might get some mini-series or telemovies not based on real life (crime) events soon?
