  1. We need a Request from Foxtel to Launch a Second Main Event Channel to Show Live NRL into Areas where AFL is shown on Seven in Primetime or We’ll Start to the NRL to Remove the Melbourne Storm from Playing on Friday Night. Similar to Fox Sports Plus Showing Live Friday Night AFL into NSW. ACT and Queensland where Rugby League is shown on Nine.

  2. This is why the anti syphoning list is stupid….Foxtel should be allowed to show NRL games live into Perth (and I guess Adelaide)

Use it Live or lose it…

  3. Would be interested to know if Nine is using its secondary digital channel to show games into other cities where it feels it can justify showing the game due to the ratings hit it might receive.

The NRL can’t expect to have games shown in Perth and Adelaide at a decent time considering they don’t have teams in those cities.

In Melbourne though, the game does need to have some sort of coverage and showing the games early the next morning. Storm fans have to put up with a millions TV ads and even ads for adult phone services, which works great for any parent trying to watch the game on time shift with their kids.

  4. If Ch9 can’t air games live *As they should* they should be stripped of the rights and it should be handed to a channel that can air the games live and not screw the fans of the NRL the way Ch9 do!

  5. Why on earth would the Roosters get a televised game every Sunday for the first three weeks, despite coming stone motherless last in 2009? Yet there’s not one game from Melbourne, the premiers? Stupid decisions there Channel Nine!
