Ryan Seacrest v Simon Cowell

By David Knox on March 17, 2010 / Filed Under Pay TV 8

Entertainment reality shows have often been about the judges more than the contestants. Tonight’s American Idol is no different.

“What part of the dancing or other performing components didn’t you like?” Ryan Seacrest asks Simon Cowell, following a song by contestant, Mike.

But the always opinionated looked at Seacrest and said, “Do you want me to talk to you or talk to Mike?”

With that a cool, calm and collected host stepped off the stage and leaned over the judging table.

“I’m actually trying to help him out a little bit, buddy,” Seacrest responded in a low voice.

With that a surprised Simon Cowell reeled back in his seat and tried to make light of the situation.

Awkward.

Tonight the Top 12 sing Rolling Stones songs on the big stage. It airs at 7:35pm on FOX8.

This is manufactured crap…. this ‘interaction’ was so staged, and you could tell the audience wasn’t buying it, Seacrest gave it away with his silly grin.

Also how did they know to have a camera there to get Seacrest’s ECU at the desk….. about as real as WWE Monday Night Raw :)

Seacrest is an overrated tool – completely full of himself…. the “banter” between him and Cowell is pathetic at times, and I’m always on Simon’s side.

Seacrest has bitten back many times before, often in trying to get Simon to explain his sometimes confusing or contradictory comments.
