  1. With the various “light entertainment” programmes returning this week, it will be interesting to see how they fare in timeshifting.

It makes me wonder how many of the top 20 have catch up episodes on their respective networks’ sites. I thought House would be on the Ten website when I missed it last week, but was sadly disappointed!

  2. Time shifting numbers are not truly accurate because Oztam don’t count people who ad skip. See here oztam.com.au/time-shift-faqs.aspx#what-measured

Be interesting to see the true number of viewers.

  3. I’ve been timeshifting since the 80’s with my first Beta Video recorder, I can’t stand watching anything ‘live’ any more, can’t stand the advertising.

  4. Have always used timeshifting…from VCRs to PVRs to iQ….but it will be interesting to see what this actually does to these shows(from a network persective), as advertising dollars mean nothing to timeshifted viewing numbers…or am I the only person that fast forwards ads 😉

  5. Only one timeshifted show from 9 in the top 20. Interesting. Does this show that most of what they show isn’t worth recording or just proves that there is still a belief that because Brian Told Me they will still sit there and watch what ever 9 throws up. 9 and throw up works for me !

  6. So these time shifted results will now be the OAZTAM official ratings David? The new tally so to speak, that networks will take there numbers from.
