The SciFi Channel will air the US interstitial series about a ‘reluctant zombie’ Woke Up Dead.
The five-minute episodes feature Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) as a down and out college grad who finds himself undergoing a sudden and inexplicable transformation from everyday zero to zombie hero after swallowing a pill from a stranger.
In his quest for answers he learns that being dead has its privileges.
The humourous series premiered on Sony’s ‘Crackle’ web platform, and features Krysten Ritter, Josh Gad, and Seinfeld‘s Wayne Knight, while Jean Smart will also make an appearance.
22 episodes will air on SciFi starting at 7:25pm Saturday May 1st and continue daily to May 22nd.
