London calling MasterChef

London is now confirmed as the destination for the second season of MasterChef Australia.

The UK had been rumoured before, but TEN now confirms it will feature as a backdrop this year just as Hong Kong was included last year.

TV Tonight understands the final eight contestants will be included in the UK week. But production plans were thrown into chaos after the Icelandic volcano prevented flights from landing in the UK. With key production crew also needed for the shoot, the show has had its work cut out trying to get everybody on board QANTAS planes.

Each week will comprise the following:
Sunday : Mystery Box and Invention Test.
Monday : Pressure Test and Elimination.
Tuesday : Celebrity Chef Challenge.
Wednesday : Off-site Challenge.
Thursday : Elimination 2.
Friday : Masterclass.

The Top 24 contestants were living in a luxury pad in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs after they were chosen. There are 10 from NSW, 6 from Victoria, 3 from Qld, 4 from SA, 1 from Tas and 1 originally from WA but now lives in Brisbane.
