Look out SuBo, here comes Lin Yu Chun.

Meet Taiwan's Lin Yu Chun, already being dubbed the "new Susan Boyle" after his performance of "I Will Always Love You."

Meet Lin Yu Chun, already being dubbed the “new Susan Boyle” (what happened to the old one?) after going viral with his performance of “I Will Always Love You” on Taiwan’s Super Star Avenue. The clips have been picked up on YouTube by TMZ, Huffington Post and Sydney Morning Herald.

Apparently he’s 24 years old and there are some reports he won the show’s million dollar prize and a recording contract.

As long as he doesn’t mimic anything else Whitney does….

  1. Seriously, like Susan Boyle, he’s good, but not great… These TV shows who use these performers to exploit the show will get annoying soon.

cue unattractive middle aged singer as Australia’s Got Talent “overnight youtube sensation”.

  2. Um…he hasn’t won the one million dollar prize because he’s not actually competing in the show. He’s one of the PK contestants (people who come occasionally to challenge the main contestants but aren’t competing for the prize). His voice is really good but I agree with joey@FoodiePop, if he didn’t remind people of Susan Boyle and had sang a different song, he probably wouldn’t had made the news overseas.

  3. Oh my, what a fabulous performance. Say bye bye, Whitney, your career as a warbler is officially over. I bet the promoters of her recent Australian tour are kicking themselves for not knowing about this bloke, as he could have stood in for her on her signature tune, which apparently she butchered when she attempted to perform it live. As for his hair, I haven’t seen a pudding bowl haircut that rad since my primary school days.

  4. Wow, that was quickly picked up by the general media. I was only watching this a few days ago and it seems to be everywhere now! I’d doubt he’d be anywhere near as popular if it wasn’t for the awesome bowl-cut and his mimicry of Whitney’s version. Oh, and it’s rather camp too.
