Peter Andre sans X Factor

Reports in the UK are debating whether Peter Andre was offered a hosting role on an Australian production of The X Factor.

Reports in the UK are debating whether Peter Andre was offered a hosting role on an Australian production of The X Factor.

“I hate turning down fantastic opportunities like this and I would have loved to have taken part,” he had told Now magazine.

“But my children absolutely come first and there is no way I could be apart from them for that long. It would kill me,” he added.

A spokesperson from Simon Cowell’s Syco said: “Peter has never been offered any role on X Factor in any country.”

However, Andre’s manager Claire Powell hit back at the announcement, saying: “We had an email into our office about three weeks ago.

“It came from Fremantle, who co-produce The X Factor, asking whether Pete would be involved in Australia’s edition. We had a serious discussion about it. Why on earth would Pete or any of us make that up?”

There was no mention of which network would have presumably been looking at a revised X Factor. However TEN aired just one season of the show hosted by Daniel MacPherson in 2005.

Andre has arrived back in the UK having stayed at Atlantis The Palm hotel in Dubai while flights to the UK were grounded.

His name has also been rumoured as a potential new host of FOX8’s Football Superstar.

  1. “Why on earth would Pete or any of us make that up?” – because he’s in a constant battle to be in the press, writing a column for one of several such publications which makes up such crap on a daily basis.

Thankfully Simon Cowell is above all that – no way he’d let Andre anywhere near it, even if relaunching The X Factor in Australia is probably only designed for him to get rid of Dannii from the UK version (even though she’s by far the best on the panel!)
