HBO has renewed Treme (pronounced ‘truh-MAY’) just days after its series premiere.
The series from The Wire‘s David Simon already has criticial buzz -would we expect anything less?
Set in New Orleans in three months after 2005’s Hurricane Katrina, it tracks the lives of a diverse group of residents as they rebuild their lives and the neighbourhood that lends the show its name.
The cast includes Wendell Pierce, Kim Dickens, Melissa Leo and John Goodman.
Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming, said, “I can’t think of another show that is more emblematic of what we aspire to be as a network than Treme. In the tradition of The Wire, David Simon and Eric Overmeyer have embarked on an exploration of the soul of one of the world’s most unique cities through the lives of an exquisitely crafted cast of characters.”

Yes ABC1 or 2 would be nice, otherwise I hope Showcase can get it, looks interesting.
Never herard of this – thankyou!!
It’s the style of The Wire, but instead of drugs, music is the drug 🙂
I’d be willing to give this show a go.
Agree with Shane, ABC2 would be a great place for it.
ABC2 Should pick this up ASAP.
