Repeats rule Easter week

By David Knox on April 4, 2010 / Filed Under News 9

A repeat of NCIS was the #1 show of Week 14, nabbing 1.5m viewers while repeats dominated the Top 10. But networks juggled their schedules in keeping with the Easter non-ratings period. As a result Seven didn’t have any shows in the Top 5, but it still managed to win the week in Total People.

The Seven Network won with 28.8% over Nine’s 27.6% and TEN’s 21.0%. The ABC had 16.7% and SBS 5.8%.

In multichannels GO! had 3.8%, 7TWO 3.4%, ONE 1.9%, ABC2 1.5%, SBS TWO 0.5% and ABC3 0.4%.

The Nine Network won all three key demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven won Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth while Nine won Sydney and Brisbane. Seven also won Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday while Nine won Monday and Wednesday. TEN took out Tuesday. On Saturday ABC came second and Nine landed fourth.

Official survey ratings resume next Sunday.

Without the UK would Neighbours find itself being cancelled?

  2. brad April 5, 2010 at 7:02 am -

Foxtel have done it again! Roughly 10 of the entertainment channels yesterday were running marathons, which incidentally were repeat marathons of shows that we’ve already seen repeats of repeats a million times….very lazy programming…

Hey David any chance we could get a weekly update of consolidated ratings of say the top 20. I am interested to see how shows have risen.

Its amazing how despite Seven having poor results on certain nights at 7:30pm they still win the week.

  4. darryn April 4, 2010 at 8:47 pm -

I think aznfratboy was suggesting that there was only 5 as appalling, I maybe wrong though

  5. Brekkie April 4, 2010 at 8:38 pm -

Isn’t this “non-ratings” period just nonsense when the ratings don’t seem to be any lower than in the weeks before hand?

  6. Johnson April 4, 2010 at 8:32 pm -

That was a big comeback win for Seven after it came third on Monday and Tuesday.

  7. Nathan April 4, 2010 at 7:26 pm -

Isn’t that saying something to the Channels/Producers, it seems viewers are getting sick of Factual and Reality. You lot should be worried. It’s good to see scripted shows are winning again.

  8. Craig April 4, 2010 at 4:49 pm -

Love that NCIS soundly beat TG for the top show of the week!

Lets just hope TEN doesn’t put NCIS 5 nights a week LOL

  9. aznfratboy April 4, 2010 at 11:37 am -

5 scripted shows in the top 20… appauling….
