These are the stories that have defined entertainment and changed Hollywood forever. E! has been there to capture all of the highs and lows, the shocking moments and the unforgettable drama. Now the network that has brought fans closer to the stars than ever before will present an unparalleled look back at what has truly defined the celebrity revolution over the past two decades – from the rise of the red carpet and reality TV, to scandals, tragedies and extreme makeovers. The special will also feature interviews with famous E! alumni and others including Joan Rivers, Kim Kardashian, Randy Jackson, Audrina Patridge, Brooke Burke and John Henson.

The Soup Presents: 20 Years of Takin’ Some E! Premieres Sunday, May, 30 at 7pm.
In this special episode of The Soup, host Joel McHale takes viewers on a wild ride looking back on 20 years of clips featuring the best – and worst – of E! programming and the network’s alumni. Kardashians, Seacrest, The Simple Life, Taradise, Dr. 90210, Sunset Tan… it’s almost too much for McHale to handle but the notoriously hilarious host buckles down to offer his signature tongue-in-cheek commentary on 20 years of E! It comes as no surprise that some of the most infamous moments in TV behaviour have happened right here on E! – McHale will have no problem basking in the glory of celebrity slip-ups and reality TV drama throughout this side-splitting birthday episode.

E! News:
Beginning Monday, May 31, E! News’ Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic will celebrate E!’s milestone with special birthday segments airing each day of the week highlighting 20 years of the best and worst fashions, faces and red carpet moments. In addition, E! News will reveal the finalists of E!’s nationwide contest “Should You Be the King or Queen of E!” The winner of the contest will be flown to LA to get the full “E! treatment,” including tapings of the network’s most popular series like E! News and a special tour of Hollywood. E! News airs weeknights at 7:30pm and 11:00pm AEST.

Original Short-Form Programming:
To further engage fans, E! will present special short-form birthday content that will be featured on-air, on E! Online and across E!’s mobile platforms, including three different series of interstitials:

“Then & Now” – This series of interstitials takes a humorous look back at pop culture events, people and Hollywood-centric trends that E! has witnessed over the last 20 years, from the “Oscar curse” to celebrity arrests.

“Movie Quote Game” – Fans will be quizzed on which movie a celebrity was talking about when he or she said a given quote.

“Fans Talk Back” – Through the “E! Talk Box” iPhone app, fans can record their own videos talking about the past 20 years of entertainment and pop culture for possible inclusion in these birthday interstitials.

Fans will answer questions about stars, moments, trends and more.
