David, given u havent yet reported the results of the first semi final, are we safe to assume you wont be updating the site with any results until after the Australian airing? Oh, I think the German song is the best this year, but alas, with the tactical voting, they have buckley’s chance of winning, Azerbaijan is my tip to win, they have been threatening to win it with top 5 finishes for the last few years.
Correct Craig, see end of story here.
In the second semi the order goes – cyprus, croatia then georgia. 3 balads in a row should be fun.
There’s nothing better than a Eurovision generic ballad I say. Listen to Norway’s ‘My Heart Is Yours’, absolutely tailored to stir and manipulate emotions in all aspects, from the key change to the big note (high C in this case) to the quivery vibrato at the end. Genius.
Love the banal lyrics of ‘Apricot Stone’ as well!
