Rumour: Rove in US TV gigs

More whispers on Rove McManus’ movements in the USA are emerging.

The latest appears to be a project called “SayitNOW” in New York -but whether it’s television or stand-up is still sketchy, while it also isn’t yet clear how significant McManus is involved in the show.

Through Twitter he seems to be making an impression on “Sorority girls” with some even admitting they have a crush on the Aussie host.

Yesterday Rove‘s management was tight-lipped about SayitNow when asked by TV Tonight.

But they did deny a second rumour that Rove had just delivered a Pilot to NBC…..

McManus recently hosted the Breakthrough Awards in Los Angeles. He will also be performing in Montreal in July.

Let’s be honest – he’s pleasant enough, but he’s really not funny. I don’t believe even the people who like his show have ever thought he was funny.

@ Dodge – why is it tall poppy if people say they don’t find him funny?

Humour is a very subjective thing and if we don’t like him, we don’t like him, nothing to do with trying to sabotage the man or cut him down to size (tee hee he is already there) out of jealousy.

    He just ain’t that funny!

  12. effdee says:

Let’s hope he stays there forever !

  13. Dodge says:

Tall poppy syndrome alive and well in this country

  14. chk chk says:

The only way he can crack the US chat fest is if he were to produce his own show and maybe put it in the Spanish cable channels where the Mexicans might find him funny… talentless tosser (I’m still looking at you Kochie!)…

  15. mojoman says:

Unleash this useless talentless export on the US who knows with their taste they may actually find him funny rather then arrogant

  16. TVtragic says:

The US can have him. He is so ordinary, they have much better talent in the US but if they like him, they can take Rove away with my blessing……….

  17. Andrew says:

Come back Rove,we miss you are, Sunday nights are empty without your great entertainment.
