Foxtel ‘free’ movie fortnight

A 'free' movie fortnight is coming to Foxtel next month with 16 channels of movies on offer.

A ‘free’ movie fortnight is coming to Foxtel next month.

From July 11 – 25, 2010 existing residential Foxtel subscribers will be able to access up to 16 channels of movies at no extra charge.

The movies from the Movie Network and Showtime Movies channels.

A Foxtel spokesperson told TV Tonight, “Current Movie Network subscribers may access the nine Showtime Movies channels for free during this period, and current Showtime Movies subscribers may access the nine Movie Network channels for free during this period. Current Platinum subscribers or subscribers to both the Showtime Movies and Movie Network channels are not eligible for this offer.”

The channels in the offer are:

Movie Network package includes: Movie One, Movie Two, Movie Extra, Movie Greats, Family Movie Channel, Starpics 1, Starpics 2, Turner Classic Movies, World Movies

Showtime Movies package includes: showtime premiere, showtime two, showcase, showcase two, showtime action, showtime comedy, showtime drama, Turner Classic Movies, World Movies

The free fortnight doesn’t include HD channels.

  1. i just opened my July Austar TV Guide and it has a pamphlet saying we get the Showtime Package free but nothing about the Movie Network =(. Typical, once again the country gets ripped off while the cities get better then us! Like do all you city people realise that Discovery HD and Nat Geo HD arent shown on Austar?? Just once again two companies that are basically identical trying to make the city counterpart look better! Why cant we be like DirecTV in the States that offer all the same channels to all of America??
